Am thinking of taking a trip with my mom and my brother. I hope mom will love PBH as much as I do, she doesn't like rides but does like pools. However my brother does like rides but hates crowds and lines. I am thinking about checking in on Sept 8th check out Sept 11.

We will have EE & EP how bad do you think the crowds will be? I have tried to pick the slowest season. After Labor Day but before HHN.

Any advice?

I will keep and eye on the DA threads as we get closer for a strategy for that area.

The crowds should be relatively low. However, DA may still be crowded.

We went during that timeframe after Wizarding World opened. Using early entry and the express pass, it was really nice with very manageable crowd sizes - i.e. relatively small. You will have a great time, and I think it's the perfect time to go.

We went then and early entry for for wizarding world worked out great, but the addition of cabana bay has me more than a little worried this September. I always thought they would just stop offering early entry to their offsite partner hotels once it opened but I only think that might happen if onsite guests really start complaining because that is a huge cramp in that onsite benefit.

Usually early September is pretty good, but bear in mind that Rock the Universe (the Christian Rock bands get-together) is at US/IoA the first weekend after Labor Day every year, so if you get there the 8th, you may still have some crowds from that. I don't think it will be too bad though, but of course DA is throwing off any really accurate predictions. We'll be at HRH 9-5 to 9-8, which wouldn't have been my preference for time frame due to Rock the Universe, but that's just how it worked out.

We are going to the parks Sept 23 - 25th, a Tuesday through Thursday. Catching HHN that Thursday. Hoping the crowds will be low during the week.

We were already planning our vacation that week and with the RTU deal, we couldn't pass that up. We're planning on going to DA that friday morning, hopefully before a lot of the youth groups get there. This is our first trip to USF, we're really excited!

I have been during Rock the Universe. The crowds are definitely worse, you'll see big groups of youth groups all over. I don't think they stay on-site, so it shouldn't affect EE or FOTL too much if you're staying on-site, but in terms of overall crowds, it does make a difference. I really hope you love USF as much as we do, first trips are always exciting!

Rock the Universe is the 5th/6th September this year just to let people know the actual dates just in case

Yeah, the first band for RtU doesn't start until 4 pm, so hopefully you'll beat the crowds by heading to DA early on Friday. One thing I'll say (not to steer into religion, and this is just my opinion) is that since they are christian youth groups, they do tend to be fairly polite, at least. Doesn't help with the crowded part, but better to have polite crowds than rude ones, right?

If you see a tall redhead in her mid-40's with a blonde daughter in her early 20's while there that weekend, say hi because that's us!

We will be there RtU weekend as well. We went that weekend 2 years ago and everything was a walk on for the Friday.
