Best time to go in September... Does it cool off at all ???

In our experience September is still very hot and you can expect rain showers on and off. We have opted for the end of the September hoping for a couple degrees cooler weather but the trade off is that the crowds in September noticeably increase as the month goes on. We go every September and I wouldn't consider it "dead" at all anymore nor having mostly walk-ons. My friend told me she read that the week after Labor Day is your best bet for lowest crowds.

We have always went in the end of September. To me, the only time is cools off a wee bit is at night time. But I am from the north and that heat bothers me.

My friend told me she read that the week after Labor Day is your best bet for lowest crowds.

This... hot but low crowds. Earlier in September the better.

All the times we visited in late Sept/Oct the weather has been quite hot.

It does not cool off in September. Still hot and humid.

You get lower crowds though so less competition for the A/C in the attractions and stores.

I've been in September twice. I love it. It is very hot and humid, but as long as you keep hydrated it's great.

You do get a few showers here and there, but they are usually quick.


Both times were were there in the middle of September between the 18-26th.
