Can anyone tell me what the crowds are like on the weekends in September (like September 14 & 15 2013)? We are taking a 5 night cruise from Vancouver to LA and would like to spend a few days at Disneyland. The only other time I have been to Disneyland was the Friday and Saturday the week after Thanksgiving. Friday was dead, we only waited in line maybe 5 minutes but Saturday was packed. We were told it was near capacity. I don't want to do 2 days like that!

We were at the parks during that part of September two years in a row, and can tell you the crowds were very light. This was before Carsland, so things may have changed. Keep in mind there are more rides down for maintenance in early/mid September.

September is a great time to visit :thumbsup2 I don't know what days of the week that is, but usually mid-September is when the Halloween decorations and ride refurbs for the holidays are done :goodvibes

Good! I thought it might be. It is a Saturday and Sunday but I did see the passholders are blocked that Saturday (and most Saturdays). Yay!! I think it will all come together great! :cool1:

We went for 3 days after our Disney cruise this past September. The first day was Sunday, Sept 23, and it was awful. Later evening was ok, but during the day it was crowded and there were considerable waits for almost everything. We vowed to never again return to Disneyland during a weekend. The next two days had mild crowds and were much more enjoyable.

We went the last week in September 2012 and the weekend was packed!!!! Now Carsland had just opened and it was the beginning of Halloween season. Saturday was more crowded than Sunday. I was very glad we had reserved dessert seating for F! because there is no way we would have found a spot without waiting hours on Sat. Even though it very crowded, the early mornings were great. The parks opened at 8, EMH at 7. We got lots and lots done before 11 or so when it really started feeling claustorphobic. I'd wouldn't expect any weekend to be light crowd wise, but with longer weekend hours, you can still have a great time. Maybe it will be better, but I would prepare for crowds, and hopefully you'll be pleasantly surprised that its not that bad.
