We are going on Sept 17 and want to stay in a BCV studio Friday, Saturday adn Sunday then we want to switch to a BWV standard 1BR for Monday through Sunday

Will these reservations be difficult to get? Should I walk the reservations for BWV?

When I went in Feb - I had no trouble getting a standard BWV room at the 7 month window but I am just not sure what I need to do for Sept. and all this talk about walking is concerning to me!

If I don't get the BWV standard then I will have to readjust our plans since I won't have enough points for a regular room...

I don't think walking is an issue for you at 7 months if you don't have home resort priority. Even if you do have home resort priority, walking is not necessary for your time frame. The first three weeks are traditionally quiet.

Of course, whether there will be a studio on a Sunday at BC 7 months out, or a Standard View room at Boardwalk for a week might be an issue.

I'm assuming you're using BCV points, if not, I'd book what you can 11 months out. Standard view might be difficult but getting something shouldn't be. Even SV is possible that time but you might have to waitlist.

From my previous experience, you're PROBABLY OK. I say that because in both 2006 and 2007 I booked a studio at BCV at about 4-5 months, when Southwest came out with an airfare I couldn't refuse. And I think 1 BRs are less in demand than studios.

We booked a 3 night BCV studio only 5 weeks before our stay in Sept 2009, and followed it with 3 nights at Jambo. All of the resorts had availability for studio's.
