September - When to Go?

We are taking a trip in September and are pretty flexible about when we can go. What events are going on that month that we should avoid? When is the food/wine festival?

I do know we wont attempt Labor Day weekend - just too crowded for us.

Anywhere from Sept 10-24th is heaven down here. Other than a little bump up on weekends, the crowds are among the lowest of the year. I can't wait!
