September weather

We leave for Orlando next Fri, the long range weather says rain every day we are there, does it usually rain all day or just showers? We were there last September and only got one small shower.

Usually just showers - lasting about an hour or so, late afternoon from our experience. Make sure you take a rain poncho, because they day you don't THAT'S when the monsoon hits!

This is my 8th trip to Disney. I always go at this time of the year. Leaving for Detroit tomorrow and then flying to Orlando Monday morning.
Every year it has the same forecast and every year I have never gotten any rain except for a few minutes of rain on day.
Don't worry. Just go with the flow.

We are just back (there from 7th to 14th Sept).
Every day the forecast was thunder showers.
Sure enough we did get thunder showers but not until 4 or 5pm (and even then it lasts about an hour or so). There was a little bit of residual effect from the the tropical storm that skirted to the west and hurricane that skirted to the east but all it did was rain a bit at night when we were sleeping. Other than that,the weather was fantastic and very warm.
We have now been to Disney 22 times over the years and went every month of the year (except July) and I can honestly say that this was the quietest time of year we have ever seen. Literally walked onto everything with no line ups at all (this is only effective if you go at opening time and avoid early opening days).
