We have been to WDW in May, October and November, but this will be our first September trip (Sept 23 - Oct 04) and I'm hesitant of the weather. Can anyone tell me what it will be like? Is the weather similar to the weather in May? I'm hoping the heat will not be unbearable!! :faint:

I've been in March, May and Sept (pretty much same days as you) and we've stuck with Sept/Oct. the past 3 trips. I'm not sure if it's the crowds or humidity or what but we seem to be much more comfortable than in May

I've been in May and September several times, and the last few years both months have been brutal hot & humid, with record highs...but since I like spending Mother's Day at WDW, and September has been quiet, we continue to go these times. I'm sure every year varies with record high temps, and normal temps but our experiences in September have been hot and humid with temps in the high 80s- 90s, and high humidty. We really enjoyed the pools at night though!

We were there last year mid-September. It was HOT HOT HOT, and VERY HUMID. It was in the 90's and 75% humidity, if not more.

Mid-day breaks were essential, especially with our two young children.

Just posted this on another thread, but we're usually guaranteed some rain on our September visits. But that's early Sept. -- things my have calmed down by later in the month? Either way, it's Disney! We've always had a blast regardless of the weather -- rain, heat, cold...

Have a great trip!

I go late in Sept..Very very hot and very very humid, with some rain showers-sometimes daily. It does not cool off till October

We were there the last week of September last year and it was in the upper 90's every day and VERY humid. When it rained, it just seemed to make it more unbearable, unlike here in CO where it cools things off and makes everything feel fresh afterward! Our glasses fogged up as soon as we left the hotel room at 7:00 AM every day. We got tired very quickly because the heat really drains you. We tried to make sure we headed indoors whenever someone started to get cranky (mostly DH!) for a meal or an indoor attraction. That would give us a chance to cool off and rest a bit before heading back outside. Take advantage of the free ice water you can get from the QS places and some of the snack carts (only the ones with soda dispensers, not the ones that sell bottles). Take a break when it starts to get unbearably hot and head back to the hotel for a nap or some pool time. Then go back to the parks at night and you will feel refreshed and ready to go again.

We went at the end of September in 2005. It was HOT! I thought it would have been cooler but it still felt like August!

Thanks for the info. at least we now know what to be prepared for, and will plan on taking a mid-day break at the Poly pool when needed!

I've always found the temp that time of year to be very comfy, more like early May but a little cooler.

I planned my trip assuming it would be less crowded and less hot. I'll let everyone know when I arrive on Sept. 20.

We're going Sept 19th - 26th! Looks like we will be packing alot of tank tops and shorts! Oh well, I can handle the heat better than I can handle the crowds in the middle of summer.

Been many times
September is hit and miss... like every other...
Some years it is in the low 80's others in the 90's
Mostly just Humid (as always in FL) and in the 80's
The short lines by far make up for any heat as you are not out in it long

September is just a continuation on average of August.

I personally don't notice any much of a change until Mid to late October, then it kicks in with sub 90 weather..
