I am going to be going to Disney with several family members in Sept. Last 2 weeks of Sept. specifically. What is the weather like at that time? We usually always go in Jan. so I have no idea what to expect in Sept. They will be an 8 yr. old and maybe a 20 month old as well as up to 5 adults.

It'll be hot, humid, and buggy.

You can look up weather averages for Orlando on waather.com

We've gone several times during the month of September. Hot days, warm evenings and a good chance of afternoon thunderstorms. It will also be hurricane season - so just be prepared.

We were there the last week of September. Hot, humid and some showers. Also, the love bugs are pretty bad then. I'm from Iowa and it was as hot there the end of September as it is here in July.

The days are usually in the low 80's, the evenings cool to around 70-75. The lovebugs are usually dying out in the end of September. Rainy season is over by then, but it will be hurricane season. That doesn't mean you will deal with any, though. Last year was very quiet. Central Florida rarely gets hurricanes, 2004 was an exception. Besides, there is plenty of advance warning of bad weather. Come on down, and enjoy!

The key is to adapt. If it's hot and humid, take it easy and don't rush around. There are plenty of places to stay comfortable.

It can rain just about every afternoon, but usually only for an hour or so. Get one of those inexpensive rain ponchos and don't let the rain dampen your spirits. Every ride and restaurant at WDW is used to people coming in wet. Just go with the flow. You can always go back to your room for an afternoon nap about that time.

The love bugs can be annoying, but they're harmless.

It looks as though you'll be here for two weeks and that should be plenty of time to pace yourself and deal with the weather.

Thanks for the information everyone. Since I have never been there is Sept. I had no idea of the weather. I really would prefer to go in Jan. but...At least it will be fun using the pool at this time and maybe getting waterpark passes for a change. We got them last time but it was very cool out that we used 1 day of them and that was it. I was sick and didn't get to go which really upset me so maybe this time out.

I've been to Disney twice at the end of Sept/early Oct & both times it was hot, temps in the high 80's or low 90's everyday & yes the lovebugs are bad, but this is my favorite time of year to go. You will love the low crowds & the water parks are a blast! Also, the Halloween party is fantastic! Have fun!
