We will be in DL mid September during the week-- we leave on the Saturday. We were just there last month, although some days were overcast, it was comfortable but at night was a little chilly. I read somewhere that September might be hotter? I'm also guessing because we'll be going after school starts, crowds won't be bad???

I am also going in september but heard it will be pretty busy (very busy around reasturants) because of free dinning. I have not though heard anything on weather besides that it is the rainy/hurricane season which is why they offer the free dinning. thats ok with me IM STILL HAPPY about going lol

You might want to check which forum you're in! ;) OP is asking about DL, not WDW.

To the OP, crowds should be very managable since you're going mid-week. Weather is a toss up. You might hit some cooler weather, but I think it might be the start of the Santa Ana winds period where things stay pretty warm and dry.

Hi
We went last September to DL and the weather was perfect.
It was high 80's never needed a jacket. The only drawback of going during the week in the off season is that DCA closes at 6pm and DL closes at 8pm. Both parks open at 10am.
I have 2 little ones so they need to go to bed around 9pm anyway or I'll be sorry the next day.

Also, last year was more crowded than I expected due to it being the last weekend of the 50th celebration and the beginning of the Halloween celebration.
A few CM's told me it wasn't usually that busy in September, so maybe this year's birthday trip in Sept won't be so bad.

The longest wait was 45 minutes for Indy and 20 minutes for Fantasyland rides.
But Space Mountain, Splash Mountain and Pirates was about 5 minutes.

We went the last week of September last year. The weather was good (even a bit warm for us with the close-to-90 a couple days.) It definitely cools down after dark, so we had sweatjackets for our little ones. I think I wore a light jacket a couple mornings, that was it. But of course it really depends on what kind of temps you're used to.

I think it was overcast a few mornings, with that burning off by late morning. Otherwise the weather was good!

We're planning a trip for the same timeframe this year. Last year I just kept checking the 10-day forecast on weather.com so I knew what to expect. (I think the zipcode for DL is 92803?)

Hi there, we will also be in DL mid sept(15-25) and we are also hoping for warm weather and low crowds.......:cool1:

I'll be there the week before you. Also going mid week and leaving on Sat.

It looks like a few rides will be closed in Sept.

Hurricanes in Los Angeles OH NO

Just an FYI: So Cal schools have a day off Sept 14th expect crowds

alex2kmommy- We're going 9/23-9/29.
I looked on the refurb schedule and the Haunted mansion will reopen on the 21st! yay!
Last year it reopened on 9/29, the day we went home
At least I get to ride one of my favorites!

Hopefully we'll see you there!

We were there in September (8th - 14th) and then again last month during mid May.
September was hotter than May, but the evenings were nicer. We were not cold in the evening after going on water rides in September as we were last month. September was also less crowded when we were there. The longest time we waited for a ride during the week was about 20 mins. I would go back in September again.:)
