Well, I have been all over the place on this one!! Our last trip we went end of October/beginning of November. Missed out on typhoon lagoon by a DAY! Lol. We will be going for 16 days, staying on site for 11 nights. HOPING to do WL & AKL split stay. Just looking for advice on time of year. We are thinking beginning to mid October, or second week in November and get out right before thanksgiving. September would probably be best the end of September. I know it can be rainy but wondering if its THAT bad. I always say a rainy day at Disney is better than a day anywhere else ha, but I still wouldn't want the whole trip rained out!
Thanks for any input!

Funny enough our first trip was the week before Thanksgiving in November, our second was mid October and we've got one coming up for the end of September. So I can't talk for September yet but we're going all over the place too lol. I hear September is supposed to be less busy than October and I'm crossing my fingers for that.

Between October and November, I really enjoyed November more. October did have MNSSHP as opposed to MVMCP, if you're interested in that it'd be a point to consider. Also, the week before Thanksgiving F&W is done, so that would be another pointer to consider if you're interested in that.

However, I will say that we had a much better time in November. Sure, it was a little chillier when we were there, but it was much less crowded. Epcot especially since the lack of F&W. Plus, I liked seeing all the Christmas decorations up. The Dream Lights on Cinderella Castle are especially beautiful. So, it's really up to you what you prefer to experience because October/November are totally different moods :)

Good luck and I hope you find what you want.

November just before Thanksgiving is terrific IMHO. The crowds are not bad at all, although MVMCP and the Osborne Lights are very popular and busy. The resorts and parks are decorated and quite festive. Weather can be very nice, although we did have a whole week of cloudy skies one year (but not much rain). Head home before the Thanksgiving crowds arrive and it is very pleasant.

I have found September to be too humid for my taste. October is one of 2 months in which we haven't yet experienced WDW (the other is April)....We will remedy that one day.;)

I can't speak to the park crowds at those times, but in can be well into November before the weather breaks. We had heat index well into 100s (which down here means very high humidity) through October.

It's not quite as bad in sep. and oct. As it is in summer (or maybe that's because I know it's ending soon lol). I also think despite higher heats the rain calms down a bit by end of September. So unless the heat is really and issue, I'd pick low crowd time.

I've done mid-September twice and mid-November once plus 2 days last mid-October. November weather was definitely the best. We had days of shorts and tees and just needed a sweatshirt most evenings. The other trips were very hot and humid, over 90 every day, but some people love that!

For crowds, September was best, followed by November. The October was just one day in Epcot for Food & Wine and it was moderately busy, but I can't speak to the other parks. Our resort seemed dead, though.

We chose mid-November again for this year's trip and were able to get free dining - not sure if that's a factor for you. It's also a better time for kids to miss school on our end. No exams and a light load leading toward Thanksgiving break (one will be grade 4, the other grade 9).

Our last trip was from the end of Sept. into early Oct.,,It was the best time I have ever been! Crowds were so low , weather was gorgeous. No rain any days we were there(but I think the week before we went was rainy, which was mid sept.). It was hot though, about 90 each day, defiantly hot enough to swim at night too. If you don't mind the heat then I'd say early October:) Low crowds, nice hot weather, and end of the rainy season! BTW we stayed at AKV too and absolutely fell in love with it:goodvibes Have a wonderful trip!!

And have to say weather in November is most comfortable. September was oppressive! We've been both mid and late September. October can still be humid, but we have fallen in love with F&W and so we choose late October. We will be there the 23rd-27th this year, no free dining, but got a GREAT deal at the Dolphin so we couldn't pass it up!

We've done September and November but not October. mid-November (the full week before Thanksgiving) is one of my favorite times to go. The weather is mild, the Food and Wine Festival is going on, and the crowds are manageable.
