September vs. October for FD?

I asked this same question on the main board. I looked at last year's free dining and both October and September dates were included. However, I'm now reading that it's more likely that there will be FD in September than October.

Is that true? We're not booking the resort yet but I would like to go ahead and book our flights very soon.

Last year the free dining dates for September were released but then October dates were released later.

September FD was released last year on May 9.

Fall FD which included some dates in October was not released until August 1

FD was offered in both months last year. This year, rumors are leaning towards FD in Sept and some other offer in Oct, possibly S/P/D.

It is Stay,Play,Dine. It is not as good as FD, but it is still a good discount. If I am remembering correctly it's basically adults being charged kid prices for tix and dining.

Even though we have a bounce back for this year's dining plan, the announcement should come out soon about the Sept./Oct. FD plan. They wait till they see the bookings and then offer the programs to generate sales.

In the past QS was only an option if you were staying at a value. The basic plan is required for all other resorts.

Last year FD for October was released on August 1st, so we likely have quite awhile to wait yet.

I didn't go for FD last year, but I was reading another thread which said Mods were offered Quick service last year, Deluxe got TS FD.

No, or at least not when we went during FD in October 2013. VALUES get QS, and Mods & Deluxes get the regular dining plan.

I remember because I'm one of the few oddballs who prefers QS, which is why I haven't stayed at a Mod during FD. I really want to stay at CSR, but would rather have QS so we stay at Values during FD.

It isn't the most cost effective use of the plan, but you can stay at a mod and use the regular DDP as though it were the QSDP. They will use up your QS credits first, then start using your TS credits. You can use a TS credit for a QS meal anywhere on property as of a couple of years ago.
