I am thinking of going with DH and DS (6) September 13-24, what are your thoughts on those dates? We want minimal crowds. We won't be there every day, but we will do one weekend day to see all the fireworks shows etc.

Is there better september dates to go?

Our other option is the first two weeks of December.

We have done disney at Christmas - so it is not huge if we don't go in December... Crowds are the main concern.

If crowds are your main concern, you've picked an awesome time to go. You may encounter some early Santa Ana winds which could cancel fireworks/fantasmic, but those extend through Dec. sometimes as well.

Oh, and HM will definitely be down during those dates while they install the overlay.
