September PTR: The Disney Mulligan (9/3 - Go time!)

Love your reports!

If I lived 2 hours away from Disney I would have a hard time not doing a bunch of day trips. Drive there, spend the day at a park or two, drive home afterward. I'd probably spend most of my days off that way, ha!

Thank you for reading along! If I had more time, I think I'd go to Disney more often. As it stands, a few trips a year is good for the moment.

Activated and motivated

Today I got mail:

What could it possibly be? Mouse ears? The secret to eternal life? A puppy?

So awesome! It's been activated and is ready to go for the vacation! It looks much better than my pictures actually show. It's great!

I'm two days into my work week, with two more days left. These are going to be some reeeeeaaaalllly long days. Maybe even painfully long. I also managed to get a pretty nice suitcase and a nice set of shorts and a shirt. It's almost as if I'm an adult or something. Weird how that happens.

4 days until Orlando
6 days until Disney
2 more days of work

Those are some tiny numbers that still seem really, really large.

Love the band. Waaay cool!

It seems just perfect for you.

AND it came on time!

Good luck getting through the work week - you can do it!!!

Just a few more days! I hope the weather holds out and isn't too rainy for you!

Yes! My vacation kind of started today, in that I'm done with work for a while. Tomorrow will be some last minute things, like getting the car ready and packing, but as far as everything else goes, the biggest stress (work) is over. I'm hoping (finger's crossed) that the storms are far enough north to not be an issue by the time I get to Orlando. I have very little in terms of plans for this weekend, so rain on Saturday and Sunday would probably have little effect on things. It's not going to rain in any of the restaurants, at least I hope it wouldn't. It'll be ok regardless!

When suddenly, plans! Out of nowhere!

Tomorrow is Go Day! Disney is still not until Monday, but vacation proper begins tomorrow. I'll be driving up to Orlando and checking into Bay Hill for a nice and relaxing pre-vacation vacation. Originally I had very little actually planned for this weekend. Tomorrow was going to be me lounging around the room and being a lazy bum, and maybe finding food somewhere. Sunday would be a repeat of the previous day. Now, though, there are plans, and they're pretty darn solid plans.

Tomorrow, after checking into my room, I'll be driving to Disney Springs to catch the 5:00pm showing of Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory! This weekend happens to be a limited showing of Willy Wonka at select AMC theaters, and Disney Springs happens to be one of the theaters. They are following Willy Wonka at 7:30 with Blazing Saddles, which I also have tickets to! How could I say no to a tribute to Gene Wilder with two of my favorite films? I couldn't. The fact that the tickets were $5 each was just an added bonus. There's about a half hour break between films, which should be plenty of time to grab a quick bite before the next film.

Sunday night isn't as exciting as Saturday, but I do have reservations for Fogo de Chao. It may not be as exciting as two classic films back on the big screen, but my stomach is definitely looking forward to it. Two friends who live in the Orlando area will be joining, which is always a welcome thing. This may be a solo trip, but guests are always welcome.

So, as we butt up to the departure time, plans continue to be in motion. I've definitely lucked out for this weekend.

What a great way to start the trip. Perfect rainy day event. Safe travels.
