getting various views on September fastpass planning
Morning waits. 9-11 ish ..will they be short enough on major rides to save fastpass for 11-1 ish ..picking parks from easy wdw....going sept 13-20. Do have hoppers now in order to get free dining...not much experience with hopping. Any feedback would help...thanks

The first couple of weeks in September usually has low crowds. Even the latter two weeks are not too bad. Now, we will have to see if Disney reduces capacity and staffing again after the summer.

In general, if you choose your initial ride order taking consideration how quickly lines build at certain attractions, then I would hold off scheduling FPs until the 11+ time frame. You can get a lot done in the first couple of hours.

This link will give you some idea how lines build. You should be looking at the low crowd level for the most part. I also randomly check wait times in the last couple of weeks before we arrive to get a feel how things going.

We went last September 12-19. We were able to do Splash and Railroad twice before 10am, then wait started 20-30min stand-by. 7DMT was around 40minutes to 70minutes most of the day, same for Peter Pan. Most everything else at MK was walk-on to 25 minutes. Animal Kingdom FP for everest and Kali River Rapids weren't necessary but still needed for the Safari in the morning. At Epcot only FP we really needed was the Test Track, everything else was walk on (but we didn't do Soarin). I would suggest FP major rides for 11am-2pm and do the minor without FP before that. Hope this helps.

Op, I would say you are right in planning your FPs after 11 or even later depending on whether you are having an afternoon break or not. Most major rides have less than 25 minute waits so I tended to use my FPs for Peter Pan, 7DMT and Anna/Elsa for example because for me they are not worth the wait of 60+ mins.

Basically use your FPs for your second park when you're hopping and stay in your first park until after the latecomer rush (11amish) because being stuck in the line for bag check in the September heat, humidity and sun is not pleasant (as I learned last year).
