Currently have a reservation for October 21-23rd and I am thinking about moving it up to a September reservation for possibly warmer temps. Since I am going to brings kids with us on this trip I'm sure they would want to spend a great amount of time in the ocean. So, would you go with mid-September or late October in regards to swimming temps?

Swimming in the ocean? Maybe not by the end of October, but it depends on what you're used to. I remember when we lived in New England and went to Maine every year. I always swam in the ocean unless I was turning blue. Now that we live in sub-tropical climate, I wouldn't dream of it. But remember, ocean water takes longer to warm up and cool down. What this means is that while air temperatures warm up by June, the water's still cold. And in the fall, when the air cools down, the water's still warm. We go to HHI in November, and there's hardly ever anyone at the ocean then, but plenty of people at the pools. Remember the HHI pools are heated.

Ocean temps right now are mid 80's and will be in the upper 80's soon thru late August.

Mid-Sept usually has ocean temps in the low 80's and into the upper 60's by late October.

As already noted above, the resort pools are heated! :teeth:

Enjoy your trip! :)

Just got a new reservation for two nights in September, the 8th-10th. I had to stalk it to get it though. :thumbsup2
