I'm ready to start planning our next trip.:earsboy:

Please help me decide the best time to go.

We try to work our trips into the school year in order to avoid the heat and crowds of the summer. Next school year (2005-2006), my girls are out for the week of Labor Day (Sept. 5-9, 2005) and the week of President's Day (Feb. 20-24, 2006).

My thoughts for each date:
Sept. - It's sooner!:earboy2:, still warm enough for the water
parks and swimming.
Feb. - This date would give us a few extra months for saving
$$ and DD's birthday is during that week. She will turn
13 on Feb. 22.

Any comments about the weather, discounts, crowds, etc. when comparing the two weeks? Also, since both of these are holiday weeks, which one tends to be more crowded?

We normally go in September so we know what to expect with weather and crowds during that time.

Oh my, I am SUCH a September fan! There are no crowds to speak of the week of Labor Day...it is our favorite time to go. We have all but quit going any other time. Search on Sept and read some of the posts from others...you will not be sorry! Plus, it is VALUE season!! Disney has offered 4 for 7 and 5 for 7 the past two years, hopefully, they will do it again! We will be there that Labor Day week too.

I know I have gone on and on about September on several boards lately. We were the ONLY people on POC in the middle of the day! We had no wait at all on Buzz and since there was no line, they let us ride over and over again! My DH rode RnR three times while my DD6 and I ate ice cream and waited on him  . The longest part of the wait for him was having to watch the preshow everytime! We were walking through Cinderella's castle and they were TRYING to get people to come in and eat breakfast with her    :earseek: . Okay, that should wrap up the crowd thing!!

I went in Feb once thinking it would be a pretty quiet time and ended up with 35000 cheerleaders! DS18 had a wonderful time ;) then, and we still had fun, but we get alot more out of our trip in September.

Have fun either way, but I guess, in case you couldn't tell :teeth: , i vote SEPTEMBER!

I also vote for Sept. To me a trip to WDW isn't complete without going to BB. Feb. is too cold for the water parks.

President's week will be alot more crowded!

Thanks for your input!:goodvibes Assuming we can have the trip paid for by September, I think that'll be the time for us. Just needed some verification.

Here's to all of you:
:grouphug:

OH How I would love to go in September. With kids in HS now, it is impossible to pull them out. Maybe I should go without them

We went ONCE during Presidents week and it was absolutely miserable. The worst crowds we have seen- ever ! We actually left a park mid-day strictly because of the crowds. Never again during that time of the month. (My sis has gone first week in Feb and loved it)

September :sunny: is my vote !
