September or December 2017? Which is better?

I went to WDW at the beginning of Sept 2016 and loved the low crowds and Halloween party. This year, I am debating on going the same week (bc of Halloween and the Food and Wine Festival, which I've never been to) or going December 15-21 2017 to see it the Christmas decorations. Will it be insanely crowded and busy during that time in December? Thanks!

The Christmas crowds won't really start rolling in until the 20th or so. My vote would be december.

i LOVE LOVE LOVE the Xmas decorations @ Disney. We went in beginning of September one year, and it wasn't my favorite time of year (very hot/humid) and wasn't overly crazy about the pumpkin decorations -- but we're going this year only because daughter is bent on doing the MNSSHP. Otherwise I vote for December!

Experience has taught me the December crowds start increasing daily around the 14th and build more with each day. It will be substantially more crowded than your Sept. dates, but you will have Christmas decorations and cooler weather...

Another vote for December. We've been twice in Sept and twice in Dec and while we do love Sept for the warmer weather, Disney during the holidays is just amazing! December will be a little more crowded than Sept (although not insanely worse), but would be worth it (IMO). Good luck!
