September/October 2013 check in

How cute! I will definitely notice that :)

Where did you get the t shirt from?

I got it made at Vistaprint with a design made by some DISigners. My husband has one too (I ordered the wrong size the first time, those shirts are HUGE), but I don't know if he'll wear his at all.

Woohoo here you go party:party::dancer::dance3::jumping1:

Only 3 sleeps here I really should pack :rotfl2:

or you could do what i did last time and just totally pack at 2am :) :rolleyes: pirate:

there was a wee bit of :scared: but we made it :cool1:

46 more days for me... these days are going by waaaaaaaaay to slowly for my liking, i need my pixiedust: and :beach: to happen :moped::moped::moped:

Happy September everyone, although it's still August here for a few more hours.

We arrived safely in Vancouver on Wednesday after a bit of a nightmare of a flight (dd1 got a migraine and vomited over herself, dh and ds and ds, who still is in nighttime nappies, wet through the pull up and needed changing...not fun in those tiny toilets). The flight itself was great, the kids were pretty good, despite minimal sleep. We've seen a bit of the city, but we're really keen to head out to whistler tomorrow on the rocky mountaineer train. I wanna see a bear :p

Still a week to go until we get to vegas...can't wait to hit US soil...but don't want to wish away the rest of the time that we have here in Canada.

I hope the last minute packing and planning is going well for everyone. Here's my little travel tip (ie lesson learned) that I thought I'd share. We were given a US adaptor and brought a power board with us so that we could charge/use multiple devices at once, night one, went to charge the ipad and discovered that the power board had a 3 pronged plug and our adaptor was for 2 pronged plugs...now we spend hrs trying to charge the ipad, 2 ipad minis, iPod and 2 iPhones that we brought with us :headache::rotfl2:

Btw...we ordered a SIM card through mobiphone (?) before we left. Put $30 credit on it before we left and had absolutely no problem activating it when we stopped over at LAX (what a horrible airport!). We then added $30 more credit for the $60/month plan when we got to Canada. It was super simple for anyone thinking of going down that path.

Good luck to those people heading off in the next few days...can't wait to read about your boys' reactions 5ofus.

Glad you're there safe and sound. Enjoy your time on vacay.

5 sleeps to go until our UK, DLP and Paris adventures begin! I have been unable to deal with packing - birthdays, Fathers Day, school stuff!!! Have actually dragged all the bags downstairs and have written some lists today!

Getting very excited now! Just logged on to read the packing tips thread...
