September/October 2007 Code, Discount and Rates Watch

Watch these boards, they go nuts and you will know right away if there is a discount code out! Also when all else fails I book with AAA, then I know it is 15% off the room portion of the trip.

Can you get the AAA discount for "room only" or does it have to be a package?

We are possibly planning a trip for Mardi Gras next year (early February). When could I expect to see any discount/upgrade codes? Also, where do you find them, and how do they work? Can you apply any discounts after you make your reservations?

Well, looks like I'm officially joining this thread. I was holding out hope that the family and I were going to be able to go in July (like we usually do), but it's not working out so October it is. We've never experienced Disney in October! It'll be a great new experience I'm sure. From all you experienced October Disney Goers... wanna share what makes this time so excellent to go to "the world"? I know the weather will be a bit cooler and they say crowds will be less, but anything else? Just curious! We'll probably do MNSSHP too one of our days since we all love Halloween so much. :) Anyway, now the waiting begins. Maybe my b-day will be a lucky day for the AP's to be released (my b-day is in mid-August). :)

Take care,
Deb*

ok I bought the air last night so now we GOTTA get a CODE :rotfl2:

We love going in October. I actually wouldn't go in the summer if I was offered a free trip. My oldest daughter has disabilities and does not do well with the heat. Even though I've not been to DW in the summer, I'm sure October is "cooler." But, both times we've been in October it's still very warm. Highs when we have been were in the upper 80's and on one occasion, it got very chilly one night...probably around the 50's but that was only one time. Fortunately, my girls' schools do a weeklong fall break so it's very convenient to go during October. I don't know what we will do if they do away with fall break!

I must agree with you on the NEVER going in the summer even if it were free LOL . I used to drag my own children there in August every year . Now I just pull my Nephew and Niece of out of school and drag them in Oct.

Man what a difference it makes. Now when they are older I wont be able to do that of course . But right now in K and 2nd grade it is A OK in my mind : )

We love October as well! We have gone in October the past 3 years. What do we love about October, well, the weather, as you said it is cooler, but it is still warm! The crowds are lighter, however we have noticed an increase in the past few years. MNSSHP is great! You will love it! Make sure to get your tickets because they have sold outy while we were there! Also, the Food & Wine Festical at Epcot, we love! It is fun to "eat and/or drink around the world"! We just love October, it also gives us something to look forward to so we are not too sad that when the summer is over. :yay:

Love what I'm hearing regarding October wdw Vaca's! This will be my First Oct trip to the world and I'm looking forward the "smaller" crowds. Most if not all of my trips have been in December - April so lines are typically 45mins-1hr long at the least. How long should I expect to wait at the most popular attractions at peak times?

Hi Kyle! My husband and I have always gone late September/early October so while we don't know any different, we LOOOOOVE this time of year. I see you're staying at ASMO. We stayed there last year and loved it so much. We're doing Music this year but had a perfect stay at Movies. Maybe we'll see ya around. Have a wonderful time!

Awesome soooo glad to hear it! I PM'd you with a few questions hope you didnt mind!

While I'm crossing my fingers, I know a CM in reservations and she checked the system and nothing is showing for tomorrow. She said the system should have been updated if they were coming out for tomorrow.

Did the codes that run until Sept.29th (FDV) just come out or has it been out??

Mousesavers says FDV

Disboards says FDZ

Not sure which is right.

Woo hoo! For the first time since I have become an AP holder (2004) I just NOW got the email for passholder rates.

Not my dates though, going at the end of October. But I am just happy I finally got an email!

OK for those of us that are waiting for rates after Sept. 29th we need to take an oath that the minute any of us gets a whiff of a AP rate coming out to come to this thread and post it so it goes to our email and we can all do the happy dance. :cool1:  :woohoo: :dance3: :cheer2:

Ok, so is it true that starting tomorrow the Florida Resident rates for September will be available to be booked?

We already have our ressies and are just looking to add the FL Res Rate on to our room (like we do every time).

Does anyone know what time you can start calling tomorrow to change our reservations?

Thanks!!

Dani

So....this code FDV or FDZ or whatever....is it just for AP holders?:confused3 Is there any code for the rest of us? Where do you find these? Did you have to get a post card? :headache: argh. You guys will tell us if there are any codes at all - right?:hyper2: :rotfl2:
