Orlando will once again have a Magical Dining Month in Sept. Participating restaurants will offer three-course, prix-fixe dinners for $19 (casual dining restaurants) or $29 (upscale dining establishments), excluding beverage, tax and gratuity. As of now, Tchoup Chop & Bice are both on the list for upscale dining. Universal also has NBA City & NASCAR Sports Grille listed. Last year Emeril's @ CW participated, but it's not on the list as of now. Hopefully, it will be added.

I've included a link for those who may be interested in seeing what other restaurants are on the list so far. A more complete list should be available soon.

I hope they add Emeril's, too! We already have a reservation for Sept. 5 dinner. :) Is there anything special you need to do to get this offer?
Thanks!!

I don't think so, but I'm not sure. We missed out on it last year. We plan to go Labor Day weekend, so we don't miss it again. I'm expecting a special menu, with somewhat limited options, but that's just a guess. Hopefully, someone on here will have taken advantage of it last year & will be able to fill us in. If not, I'm sure they'll release more info soon.

Have you eaten at Emeril's before? If not, you'll love it. Right now, we're thinking we'll eat at Bice & Tchoup Chop. We've been wanting to try Bice, but the reviews aren't great. This will be a good time to try it, while we can get the special. We're thinking of going to TC for the same reason. We've tried it twice, & don't really like it at all. Most people here rave about it though. For $29/ person, we may give it one more try. If they add Emeril's to the list, we'll drop TC. If not, we'll probably eat at Emeril's on 8/31. It's our one "must do" restaurant at UO.

Thanks for the added info.!

I have not eaten at Emeril's before but my boyfriend is a HUGE Emeril fan! So we have both the regular Emeril's and Tchoup Chop in our reservations to try. :) This offer seems like an awesome deal to ease some of the expense of eating at such expensive restaurants. :) :) I can't wait for them to release more info. or as you said, if someone who has been before has more info. to add.

It really is a great deal! An entree alone costs that much at most of the restaurants. Let's keep our fingers crossed that Emeril's to be added to the participating restaurants. :wizard:

They've updated the list: http://www.orlandoinfo.com/magicaldining/

Sadly, Emeril's isn't participating this year. :( Universal restaurants that are participating are:

Bice Ristorante at Portofino Bay Hotel
Emeril's Tchoup Chop at Royal Pacific Resort
Islands Dining Room at Royal Pacific Resort
The Kitchen at Hard Rock Hotel
Mama Della's Ristorante at Portofino Bay Hotel
NBA City

They are all considered upscale, which is a stretch for some. It is a great deal for others though.

NASCAR Sports Grille is listed as a casual restaurant.

ETA: There is a special menu. They are supposed to be added to the site soon. I'm anxious to see what will be offered.
