Does anyone know how far in advance the September entertainment schedule will be available? I booked a hotel for Sept 7-10th but they're weekdays and now I'm worried that I won't get to see the new parade or fireworks. I'd like to know in case I need to book different days. I went on a weekday in September a few years ago and Fantasmic! still had 2 shows (even though the park was really empty).

I think they start to post the official schedule about 6 weeks in advance.

We were in there in September last year our first day in the park was the 11th which was a Thursday. Whilst we were there the fireworks and Fantasmic were only on a Friday, Saturday, Sunday. World of Colour was every night and we are pretty sure the Parade in DL was on every afternoon but on twice on the Friday, Saturday, Sunday.

Hope that helps.

You should be ok! If you go to the Disney website and click on view park hours.,,it will let you change the day to your trip dates. Then just click on the park name and it will show you a line up of events.

Disneyland Resort does not release their operating schedule until 6-week or about 45-days in advance. The full entertainment schedule is often not added until closer to the 30-day mark.

In terms of the September schedule, once Labor Day passes, nighttime entertainment is usually reduced. Fireworks, Fantasmic (F! will probably drop to a weekend only schedule sometime in late August), and Mad T Party are usually only presented on Fri, Sat, and Sun evenings. WoC is generally presented nightly. We do not yet know the non-peak season schedule for PtN (the nighttime parade), but in the past, Soundsational was presented daily.

Also, keep in mind that while September 7 is technically a weekday (Monday), it is Labor Day. I think it's safe to assume the full entertainment schedule will be available your first day -- assuming that's a park day for you, and also assuming that weather or whatever else doesn't get in the way.

Well, Labor Day wasn't going to be a park day for us. We are driving from Phoenix and could make it there for Monday evening. I may just have to do 4 day park hoppers. I don't really care about Fantasmic! but really want to see Paint the Night. The Main Street Electric Parade was my fav thing at Disneyland growing up

What the heck? Why would DL hours be 9 am-6 pm?

*cries in the corner*

What dates are you looking at? Since Labor Day last year was Sept 1, your best dates to look at for historical hours is 9/1-9/4/14. Because that would be Labor Day Monday thru the Thursday after, will probably give you the best idea in terms of hours and entertainment than looking at the 7th - 10th. Make sense?

After Labor Day, many things go down for re-habs.... its the off season. Some will come up for Dapper Week...... some will not.
Still the open and close times will change.. for off season.

Did that think if that! I'll look again. My dates are flexible for myself but I don't know about the people I'm traveling with

I wonder if they'll have slightly longer hours because of the 60th anniversary. I'm okay missing Fantasmic as long as we can do Mickey and the Magical Map. My 2 year old would be asleep well before Fantasmic anyway

I don't think you can count on longer hours, there are only a couple of weeks between Labor Day and the Halloween season, and they will need that time to convert to fall. HM will go into refurb for a couple of weeks and Space will go down for a few days, both for their overlays. I think your best bet to see Fantasmic will be on Labor Day... at least it will probably be shown early like 9 pm. Labor day might be your best bet for all entertainment, and then use the rest of your week for rides.

This is really helpful. I was playing with times you could book a Fantasmic dining package on the August dates and was curious why the last week of August showed availability only on the weekend and nothing during the week.

I think I'll just have to do 4 day hoppers instead of 3. There's only a $25 price difference. I wish I had gotten an annual passport on my trip in Dec. I didn't realize I would be making 2 trips in one year. I may try to convince my husband to do it this trip because I want to come back for my daughter's 3rd bday next July.
