Sorry if this has been posted elsewhere. Is $155/night a good rate at the Contemporary? I have a conference opportunity there in September and that's the conference rate being quoted. There's an outside chance I could get the Poly for something like that rate, too.

Thanks in advance for any thoughts/info on this.

For that price I would say you should take it. Of course the only difference is when you stay at the Contemporary on a conference rate is you are not guaranteed a room in the Tower or South Garden Wing, the way a regular guest would who is making a regular reservation for a vacation.

Many thanks for your thoughts on this. Another question: we usually go in December or January. Is the hurricane risk really that great in September?

Just to follow up: I was able to get the Poly for $155/night. Many thanks for those of you who helped me see that I would have been stupid to not book it. :)

September is peak hurricane season. However, the risk of a hurricane messing up your vacation is small. I wouldn't worry about it other than considering travel ins.
