September car rental discount

I cannot find a good price on a car rental for Sept 19 to 23, 2013,
Anyone have any deal or suggstions?

I booked with Costco and am getting a SUV for Sept 25- oct 01 for less than 300. That is picking it up at MCO and returning it there as well. Whe nI looked at AAA it was almost 700.

My first of four reservations from Alamo was $228 and the last one (that we kept) was $71.00 (with taxes etc) for 5 days. I got that one two weeks before we left with an Alamo code they sent me (and I used the Entertainment for a free weekend day) so it cost $9.01 per day! So just keep checking and they usually come down considerably. Last year we only paid $56 for the 5 days but we rented both times from MCO which is normally cheaper. This time we rented at Tampa and returned once we got to WDW to the Car Care Center.

I'm guessing that it's still a little early for any September deals. Unlike the airlines, car rentals seem to go way down as the date approaches and then skyrocket when there is less than 10 days to go.

I've had good luck with the Entertainment coupons and code. I prefer to take DME and then rent from the Swan or Car Care Center. But sometimes you can get a better one-way rate between MCO and Disney World than you can with doing a round trip from the airport or renting/returning at the Car Care Center.

It's all a matter of being flexible with your locations and the agency that you're willing to use. My current rate for Sept. has not budged since the day that I made my reservation back in October of last year! I keep checking, but no one has come up with a better rate than what I already have.
