I am trying to plan a trip with my 4 sisters .I would prefer October but with the f&w festival going on ten I would have a herder time getting someplace different at 7 months. I would love to switch between two resorts for the 7 days that we are there. so they would get a chance to see 2 resorts. I was thinking maybe BBWV or BCV for 4 days than maybe AKV for 3 days.

So I guess I really have 2 questions; What are my chances of getting 7 months at these resorts the last week of September? the other is, how hot is it towards the end of sept. in Florida? TIA:cool1: :cool1:

Food & Wine Festival beings Sept 25th or 26th (Friday), but otherwise Sept is very slow. Booking at 7 months is no big deal, unless you're falling into F&W at BWV/BCV. If you call right at 7 months and end up on the wait list, it will almost certainly come through. AKV will not be a problem AT ALL!

Late Sept is still broilingly hot & humid. The heat & humidity does not begin to break until mid-October evenings and November days.

We visited in Sept 2005 and it was hot and humid. Not so terrible as to keep us away if that were the only time we could visit again, but enough that I don't have that time period at the top of my list to go back again. The bonus was that it was slow in the parks (and we were staying on cash with free dining). That made it easy to go to the parks early, do lots of things and then come back to the room for pool/nap time during the main heat of the day. Then we would head back for the evening at the parks. :thumbsup2

We just spent 4 nights at BWV Sept. 9-12. It was a wonderful vacation. We booked at AKV at 11 months and at 7 months we switched to BWV. It was warm but not terrible. The parks were not crowded and we walked on most rides.

We went the last week of September in 2007 and it was the worst WDW trip we ever did....it was very hot and humid and the parks were VERY crowded. Disney likes to do Free Dining during this time either through bounce back or other promotions which makes the parks and resturants loaded with people.

We will never go back during September - sorry not to scare you - but just letting you know our experience.

We were there in Septemer 2007 and September 2008 and had very different trips. Being from Texas (as I see you are as well) the heat was no big deal, but the humidity in 2007 was off the chart. This year - not so bad. The crowds in 2007 were also off the charts - swore we would NEVER go back in September again. Only ended up going this year due to a busines convention there - and we stayed afterwards. It was kinda wierd this year - the parks were crowded, but the ride wait times were not long. The ONLY ride we had a major wait for was Toy Story Mania. Everything else was 20 mins or less.

We are not big fans of free dining (because it makes the restaurants so crowded) and unfortunatley both times were free dining. We do stand by our motto that any time is a good time for Disney!

DW and I were at BWV the last week of sept this year. We lucked out that it was after free dining and while it was during food and wine, it was still in sept so food and wine was not really ramped up and crowded. Heat is still a consideration and it was humid but we just chilled out in the afternoon. Crowds were not the worst I have ever seen, and we really had a great time.

We went Sept 11-20 this year and I called in April for reservations. I was able to get AKV and SSR. I was waitlisted for the first four nights at BCV which included 2 weekend nights and it never came through so I would advise calling at exactly 7 months if you want BCV for part of your trip. We had a great savannah view room at AKV so I really wasn't upset that the waitlist failed this time. I had originally done it so we could use SAB with DGSs but they didn't know about it so it wasn't a problem when we didn't get it.
