My early September reservation at ASMu is still showing in MDE and I’ve received nothing from Disney. Is anyone else in this position? I can’t decide if I should call or wait.

Thanks!

Yeah call. We had a similar reservation and are at art of animation now.

We had a ASMu reservation for December, called a couple weeks ago and they moved us to Pop.

We had a July trip booked and they actually called us on 7/1 (reservation was for 7/17) to change it, so I assume they'll call you as it gets closer, but if it was a trip I was wanting to make sure of I'd probably call first.

We had ASMu for mid November but I didn't want to take a chance so I moved us to Pop online. Difference was about $100 (for whole stay) to move from ASMu preferred to Pop standard. A CM on digital chat said All Stars were not on list of hotels to be reopened by Nov.

Do you have tickets? How does one get tickets if they have a room only in September

A CM I spoke to on Chat said that ASMu was not on the list of resorts to be opened by Nov, so you might try what I did and change your resorts yourself on MDE online (there should be a Change Reservation button). I was able to be switched to Pop standard from ASMu preferred for only about $100 more for the whole stay.

Unless you can find a discount at POP or AOA that will save you $, I would call and they will move you at no charge. We are getting ready to cancel our early September trip to AOA, so that will open up a LM room:)

Thanks, everyone!

I decided to call and was very pleased to only have a 15 minute hold. My four holds for the AP park reservation averaged over two hours. I had to make multiple calls because of a 4D PH that was attached to my reservation. I am an AP but had the Park Hopper ticket because of a Free Dining reservation.

Everything went very smoothly and I was moved to Pop Century with no issues. I’m super pleased because my rate remained the same, including the 35% discount I received when Free Dining was cancelled. After subtracting the cost of the ParkHopper I’m paying $657 total (with tax) for 6 nights. It would have been $790 if I had just cancelled and rebooked. I’ll apply the value of the PH when I renew my pass in January.

I’m really happy with my results. I prefer Pop to AoA.
