Apple is widely expected to roll out their flagship iPhone 6 on September 9th, sporting an ultra durable facade, powerful 64 bit processor, better battery life, larger form factor, thinner design and better camera.

What's interesting are the rumours of a possible iWatch launch on the same day. Waiting in anticipation...

What does that mean? Larger phone?

2 larger phones. Also rumored of a larger iPad as well in spring 2015...

Worst news ever IMO. Not everyone wants a phablet.

I'll be getting a 5s if you're correct.

HAHA. DH has that ginormous Galaxy thing (the Note maybe? I don't know). It's not that much smaller than my Nook. I don't know how he stands carrying that thing around.

I thought I heard that the 6 would be offered in 3 sizes? The size the current 5 is now and then 2 larger sizes. Who knows really??

I had to upgrade to the 5c back in the spring because my 4 died. I really have been pleasantly surprised and really like it.

I'm patiently waiting for apple to release the 6th gen ipod. That's on DD's Christmas list!. I've heard October.

If they launch the 2 sizes (or announce them on the 9th--actual launch is rumored to be ~a week later), they'll be 4.7" and 5.5". The 4.7" is almost a definite, and TBH, it's not all that much bigger than the current iPhone. Because I am just that big an iPhone nerd, I printed out a mockup that someone on the Macrumors boards did and held it in my hand alongside my 5S, and it was pretty comparable. Yes, it's bigger, but not shockingly so. Definitely not what I'd consider "phablet" territory. Even the 5.5" wasn't too bad. If they roll them both out at the same time, I'll be getting the 5.5", most likely. If the 5.5 is delayed by several months, which is the current rumor, I'll go 4.7". I'm sure I'll be happy with either.

Very excited about the announcement! Can't wait to see what they've got in store.

I'm due for an upgrade but I have the 5. I may wait for the next round but if it's pretty enough, I'll have to pre-order! ;)

They are introducing two models, one larger than the other. I'll be going for the smaller version.

When I look at my kids' Iphones I wonder how they can see anything on them because they are so tiny. Now, the Notes are TOO big. I like my Galaxy S5. I wouldn't want anything bigger though.

I'm excited with the possibilities, especially the nfc mobile payments and the iwatch. I wonder with the iwatch how the healthkit feature with work. Last I heard they were in talks with insurance companies Humana and UnitedHealth. With all the big new hires I think this will be an exciting product.

i dont think its the screen size... but rather the new sapphire front screens.

There's still some debate over whether sapphire will be used, at least on the smaller version. I'm hoping it is.

I don't think Sapphire is needed for the screen, Gorilla Glass has worked well for me on my last 2 iPhones.

I'm new to the iphone and have a 4s but my over 40 eyes are needing a larger screen...and....my phone has begun to make solo calls on its own, so when the new phones come out, I'll most likely be choosing one with a bigger screen.

Man oh man, I can't believe I'm now going to be one of those people who run out and buy the new iphone! :goodvibes

Another "very excited" vote here. The new phones aren't actually that big - DH drew out the measurements for me the other night. They've made the screen bigger by eliminating the unused space on the edges of the phone (or so all the "leaks" say). I'm looking forward to it - I have been waiting for an NFC phone forever.

Media invitations went out today... :hyper:
