September 6th Private Party

We are going to Disneyland/DCA Sept 6th-8th. We see on the DL website park hours that DL is closing at 5 pm on Sept 6th for a private party.

Does anyone know what party is planned for that day?

Also, when DL closes early, does everyone usually go to DCA or do you think this would be such a low crowd day that it does not matter?

It's a cast members party. There's been discussion as to whether the whole park will be closed, or a just a part of it. I'm bummed because it's during our time there!~ I'm sure DCA will be busier in the evening.

It is disappointing to say the least. On the bright side, DL queues should be very short that day.

Last year the party around this date was some kind of employee recognition event, I think. We parkhopped to CA and didn't find a huge increase in guests over there.

It does appear the entire park will be shut down. DTD and DCA will still be open.

DLR's website shows DLP closing at 5PM on 9/6, and there's no Soundsational Parade on the entertainment schedule either.

Maybe DLP will open earlier, or DCA will close later than 8PM, that day? I hope so. The 6th is our last of a 2-1/2 day trip.

It is our last day too. I think we will just go eat in DTD and go back for some swim time at the hotel.
