So...exciting things!! Carissa made it off to college and after moving her in (she was not happy about her roommate situation...very cramped and one girl took over the room) we got home and learned that they moved her to another dorm. Just 2 girls instead of 3 and she is so very happy!! Prayers were answered even before we got home...My parents hurried off from here to get home and prepare for the hurricane. I have all my family being directly hit with it. One is evacuated so she is safe. I hope her home is ok when she returns. She lives in NYC on the 36th floor!!! My parents are suggested to evacuate but they will go down with the ship so to speak. My sister is on the east end of Long Island but more mid island so we are hoping she will fare well... We are just expecting high winds and rain.

I am so sorry for those who are on trips now!! Goodness I cant imagine...Eva also tried to scare me again!!! She had an enormous amout of blood from her left ear canal and she has tubes but as far as we know it is an inner and outer ear infection that the doctor said should clear in time for the trip...We will have to assess the status of the tube later and see if she will need surgery later.

Prayers for all in the line of this storm that you are safe and make it out ok!!

So down to the wire and after the storm we just got power bac on...What a nightmare but other than losing a bit of food we made it out ok. The fire department lent us a generator after Eva's feed pump died. We were fortunate enough to get water for drinking (there was a shortage!) and then hauled water for toilets and washing from a creek way back on the property. Aj hit the nail on the head after 2 days and said "I am sick of living like the pioneers!" LOL

Back to packing and Disney dreaming!!
