September 5th 2016, 4 Night Dream Cruise

Or it could also be where just your 6yo could participate and older kids will join in.

less than 100 days away!!!!! I am super excited and ready!!!! Has anyone seen the 2016 Cruisers' Choice Awards online? Disney Dream was voted #1 in all major category including best overall cruise (large ship category). Also want to give a big shout out to RRB for the excellent and HELPFUL information PLEASE KEEP POSTING!

Thanks and it is my pleasure. 97 days and counting. We just came back from WDW for a Memorial Day getaway. Really nice. Stayed at the Villas at the Grand Floridian (DVC Resort) for the first time. Summer is here (at least in south Florida). It was in the low 90's.

Everyone should download the DCL app. It doesn't do much before the cruise (except a nice countdown timer) but once you get on the boat it does allot.

To answer a previous question, I did not take the beautiful pic of the GF that was posted on Saturday. I took pics that I can't upload (for some reason)

I have stayed at the Grand Floridian before and I absolutely love it! It's so beautiful and I love the gingerbread house during Christmas.

OK cruisers, 96 days, 28 minutes until we leave it all behind and get lost in the pixie dust call Disney Cruise Line. We always get to the port early (11:30 or so) and start our vaca as soon as possible. We get lunch, go swimming, explore the ship, meet fellow cruisers and soak it all in. What time are you getting to the port?

We're trying to get there around 8-9 cause we'll be 20 minutes away so we'll hopefully get through quickly like our first cruise.

Is it just me or when you are sitting in line for security check it takes like 20 minutes then you're on the boat? Or is it that i'm just that excited to get on? Lol

They won't let you in that early, the previous cruisers are leaving at that time. Best to get a boarding time from DCL and show up 30 minutes prior to that. The earliest boarding is at about 11:30

I know exactly what you're saying, it takes forever!!!!! But, once they let you on board, "all is forgotten" and now you can concentrate on having fun.

Does it make a big difference getting there early? We will already be in orlando for 2 days before the cruise.

On our first cruise we were at the port around 9:30-10 AM and we flew through the security, we were in line for our key to the world cards around 10:30. I remember we were the 3rd or 4th group to get on the boat so we were on the boat around noon.

You probably want to get through security quickly so yeah. If you get through security quickly then you can get in line for your key to the world cards ASAP because the line can get long.

We just payed off our cruise and we get to book our cabana on June 7th!! Super excited!!!!!

You mean Sept 7th, right? I hope you didn't change your sail date!!!!!!

The earliest we can!! We're staying in Cocoa Beach the previous night so we will be close with no worries. We can walk if we have to. Lol.

That's what I'm talking about. The vacation starts as early as possible.

Silvers get to book there cabana's on the 7th this month so i'm positive that we'l get one for this trip!! I look at our rooms, the restaurants, Aquaduck and more everyday like something will change lol. Too excited.

tommysb1 what do you think of creating a FE for ages 6 or 7 and up so then we can have a little fun giving out presents. Though I do think that not many 5,6,7 or 8 yo's will want to do something other than hangout at the kids club lol.
Fantasy,.... I wouldn't know where to begin and I think we are looking to join a FE group rather than creating one.
So you really think my 6yo boy and 10yo girl will rather be in the kids clubs than hanging out with Mom and Dad at the pool or watching shows?

Well that's what my little brother said and he is 7. I am just going off of what my brothers do and I don't mean to be out of line in anyway. Disney has made the kids clubs rather addicting since there is always something different. Last time my younger brothers made flubber while dressed up as scientists it was quite entertaining watching themy both as they explained there experiment.
