September 4th (2004) Disney Magic Cruise List

I feel for you.

Me and my money have a very difficult time parting. Said lots of goodbyes to my cash when I paid off the cruise last week.

But its very well worth it! Looking forward to the cruise! :D

GANURSE-
you only need one REAS package.

We have not received any documents or excursion information yet. Maybe today, will be the day.

:rotfl: My sentiments exactly, Paul!

Melody--

Travis and I still haven't made a final decision as to what excursions we want to do. Although, we were talking last night and I think we both want to visit the rain forest in some form.

But, then again, the rum factory is calling our name! :)

Decisions, decisions, decisions!

Well, we still didn't get our excursion documents, but I was able to call and reserve our excursions this morning (found out that our reservation was actually made through the group department, which might account for the document delay). We booked the combo Bacardi Rum Distillery/Old San Juan tour and I also booked the Castaway Cay Getaway Package for myself (advice from Passporter was to book this early since it tends to sell out--not sure I want to do this this time but DW was interested in a float rental which was the thing in the package I didn't use last time so I thought I might book it and then snorkel while she floated :). May cancel the CC package in favor of separate bike and float rentals (which seemed to be abundantly available on a walk up basis last time we were at CC). We're within 60 days now!!!!!

Hi everyone! Remember me (from back on page 8..lol)? :teeth:

We paid in full this morning! :)

Haven't received any documents/info yet, might be the W last name thing, I'm not sure?

Do the documents tell you what your dinner rotation is, or is that something you find out about on boarding? This is our first cruise, and I'm still somewhat confused about the details. :o

All I know about cruising comes from watching Titanic. I'll be easily recognizable as the only woman wearing water wings 24/7! :p  ;)

Sounds like quite a few of us are interested in the Bacardi tour! ::yes::

St. Thomas:
5 Star St. John Snorkel and Beach Adventure

San Juan
Condado Beach Escape - 8:30am

Castaway Cay
Parasailing - 3:30pm -- we're still iffy on this one, but thought we'd get a time slot scheduled.

Oh.... we don't exepect to receive the cruise documents until next month sometime. Usually just before that we might receive excursion information and such in regular USPS mail.

The cruise documents you'll received will not contain your dining rotation, unless that has changed lately. It'll just be your cruise information, boarding documents, immigration, onboard charging, and such. Usually, most people don't get their dining rotation until checking in at the port.

Your dining rotation will be noted on your Key to the World Card when you check in at Port.

You can call the Excursions desk as of today to schedule your excursions. Just have your reservation number ready and call 1-877-566-0968.

BTW, when I called the dining coordinator today, I tried to get Palo Brunch reservations for Sunday, September 5th and I was only able to secure 10:30am reservations. She said there was a large group in there that day and slots were minimal.

Did anyone else call for their REAS details yet?

CRSNDSNY,
Glad to hear you called Debbie today, Hope a least got some of the times you wanted for Palos and the Spa.

For the most part, yes. I'm just relieved to have that planning part out of the way. Just makes me one step closer.

Just booked our excursion for San Jaun, going to Barcardi Rum Distillery & Old San Jaun City Tour. Should be fun!! Also, found out that the reason we have not received our excursion book is DCL sends all the information to the TA's and the TA's send them out to the travelers. So it appears the TA is holding on to the excursion books. I just hope they don't hold onto al the other documents.

I was told that DCL mails our actuals docs directly to us and that they do not go through the TA. Can anyone else confirm this?

I have no "inside" information, but can speak for what our experience has been. We have always received our cruise documents directly from DCL. Used to be via FedEx up until just over a year ago and now its via UPS the last time.

I have heard on the board about some people picking up docs from their TA. I think it depends on the TA as to whether you get the docs directly from DCL or from the TA.
