I ended up booking Loews Santa Monica. I got a great rate through Expedia. It was on $90 more than Holiday in at the Pier.

I noticed that you live in Ontario. We leave just south of the Ambassador bridge.

My son was in Canada this week for a Boy Scout campout. They were west of WAWA near Eaglet lake.

We are just north of Toronto, about 550 miles from Wawa, it is a beautiful area there though! Hopefully your son had some good weather for his campout. We've had a great summer!

ETA: I wanted to let all the first timers know that the dessert in the case at Cove Cafe are free. You just help yourself. Sometimes in the evening 7ish? they have cheese, crackers, olives in there.
