September 3, 2005 --- Who is going?

Welcome Deana! :cheer2:

I think we now have five four year old boys in our group.

Anyone else having problems with notification on new posting on this thread?

Welcome thetaleof2sons!

I have a 4 year old DS on the cruise too. His name is Brady and he is so ready to get on the cruise. He loves Star Wars, Spongebob, anything Disney, and pretty much whatever he is watching on tv at any given moment. We call him the marketer's dream child.

I also have an 8 year old son. Sorry to those who Tyler is supposed to be replying to by email. Hopefully, he will get caught up this weekend. He has been very busy with school and soccer. He too is so excited to be going on the cruise.

Captaincrash, I guess we won't vote you off this time for saying the dreaded H word. Let's not let it happen again. Otherwise, you will be in charge of bringing all the kegs and we will make you wear a toga. :rotfl2:

I am so jealous of those of you who are leaving soon for pre-cruise fun. I would love to be doing the same but I think Tyler's teacher would go crazy if I took him out of school anymore. His teacher by the way cracks me up, and they even have a pet rat named Bob in their class which gives me the major creeps. I already told her there is no way Bob is coming home to spend the weekend with our family.

One week from today and we will be in the air heading down to get ready for the cruise. I can't wait!

i got a reply from verandah man andy, and he and i are pretty sure that the way the character breakfast works is you will have cb the first sea day after your first dinner at parrot cay. nothing unusual until the monday diners who won't have cb until thursday morning. early or late seating is determined by your dinner assignment. i had to consult andy because, well he is the cruise king, but since we had the altered cruise last year and i couldn't remember back to 2000, i wasn't sure of the procedure.

welcome aboard deana and family, how do you pronounce that, de-na or dee anna? we are one of the families with what i think we can now call the dirty half dozen :rotfl: 4 yo boys, or maybe they are the lost boys. but sounds like your ds will fit right in with the rest of the ninja turtles/jedi knights/power rangers, etc.

cap'n i didn't notice you use the H word, so as far as i am concerned no harm, no foul. as far as weather goes, whatever it is we'll have it, but we'll be having so much fun we won't even notice it. i ready to go whereever we go. :sunny:

I'm here! :cool1: One week from today we will be relaxing at the Radisson getting ready for the big cruise.

Lisa, I think the teams look great. Thanks for organizing all of this. The kids are going to have a blast.

It does seem slower than usual today. Maybe everybody is exhausted getting ready for the cruise. Has anyone already left to start their vacation?

How about some questions to get everyone talking (and see if we have more things in common than an obsession with Disney)

1. If you could go anywhere in the world, where would you go? - I would go on a tour in Europe.

2. If you had a million dollars, what would you do? - I would pay off my house, buy two new cars, pay off my kids private school tuition and put some away for college, help out my in-laws, give to charity and book a Disney Med. cruise if it is announced in the future.

3. What is your all time favorite movie? Mine is Notorious with Cary Grant and Ingrid Bergman

4. What is your favorite TV Show? I love Alias. It is definitely mine.

5. What type of books do you like to read? I love romance :love2: books as well as suspense and mysteries.

Come on, anyone else want to join in? We need to get some action on this board.

I am ready to be sailing away.

I am ready to be sailing away.

1 I would go back to Europe.
2 Pay all my bills and cruise until my money ran out.......... :rotfl2:
3 No favorite movie
4 Charmed......I know how juvenile but I've loved it since the beginning
5 Romance and spiritual

Anyone else? BTW I AM SO NOT PACKED!!!!!!!!!!!! :earseek: :earseek:

I'm here too! I can't believe its only a week away! :cool1:

Here's my answers...
1. If you could go anywhere in the world, where would you go? -
I would go on a long trip to see England, Ireland and Scotland.

2. If you had a million dollars, what would you do? - I would pay off everything (house, car, etc) , put $ away for my kids college, buy a condo in Winter Park, CO, and go on a Disney cruise every year. All the rest of the money would go into retirement savings.

3. What is your all time favorite movie? I don't just have one. I love romantic movies ("chick flicks" as my husband calls them). Some of my favorites are Sweet Home Alabama, Pretty Woman & Where the Heart Is.

4. What is your favorite TV Show? I would have to say Survivor (I know, I know, its reality TV, but I love it!)

5. What type of books do you like to read? Mostly historical/mystical romance(Jude Deveraux, Nora Roberts), mystery (Mary Higgins Clark, some Dean Koonz, some Stephen King), and self help books.

My husband Steve's answers:
1. If you could go anywhere in the world, where would you go? -
In the summer I would go to Colorado, when its cold, St. Thomas, and to top it off I would go to Cedar Point (roller coaster park in Ohio)

2. If you had a million dollars, what would you do? -
Take my family on a long vacation.

3. What is your all time favorite movie?
Shawshank Redemption

4. What is your favorite TV Show?
Survivor

5. What type of books do you like to read?
What's a book? LOL

Hey clonefans,

I just wanted to say I love Nora Roberts books (I would say she is my favorite author) and have read a few Jude Deveraux as well. What are your 3 favorite Nora books?

Also, I love Pretty Woman. I remember seeing that movie in college and I think I saw it about 10 times. I thought it was so romantic.

As far as Survivor, I haven't seen it lately (I am more of an Amazing Race girl) but I still am in love with Colby from season 2.

Hi All....

I spent the day trying finish purchasing all the things on our lists. Now I think I have every medication (over the sounter) for every ailment or ****oo we could have!!

Welcome NEW FAMILY...We too have a 4 year old boy...His name is Zachary. He is excited about his new friends, and I am excited about all the time he will spend in the club with them while I'm off sipping cool drinks, reading trashy love stories, getting my daily spa fix, etc!! Zach will be excited about another new friend. We also have a 9 year old son, Joshua.

I am getting so excited I can hardly control myself!! :Pinkbounc

We are now in Tie Dye central....lets have a collective crossing of fingers that the shirts come out. I am currently beginning the first batch. Boy are we going thru some rubberbands!! :)

The Fl weather is hard to predict, yet is it all the weathermen seem to want to discuss. We are plannign some reain and wind this weekend, but are hopefully really out of the path since we are in NE FL. We'll all just keep good thoughts :cloud9:

Well, back to tie dyeing!! I'll let you know how it works!!

Oh, I love them all, but I would have to say the Key Trilogy (Key of Light, Key of Knowledge and Key of Valor).

And I have to agree with you on Colby - I love him too! :earseek: !! Did you see him on the survivor all stars? He was back on that one but got kicked off early. Boy was I sorry to see him go!!!!

1. If you could go anywhere in the world, where would you go?

DH: Deck 36 (Main Engineering) - Star Trek Enterprise
DW: Bali

2. If you had a million dollars, what would you do?

DH: Buy the house my wife wants.
DW: Buy a boat and save the rest.

3. What is your all time favorite movie?

DH: First Contact (Star Trek VIII)
DW: The Way We Were

4. What is your favorite TV Show?

DH: Battlestar Galactica
DW: CSI

5. What type of books do you like to read?

DH: I'd prefer to read books on leading change, leadership, and getting things done (I have the honor of leading a group of great people where I work). However, I usually end up reading "The Day the Babies Crawled Away", Dora, and lots of princess books.

DW: For the cruise I'm reading "The 5 people you meet in Heaven"

Kim,

I didn't get a chance to see Survivor All Stars. I bet they voted my Colby out because they were just jealous of how hot he is.

The Key Trilogy is actually the trilogy that got me started on Nora Roberts. I love them. I also love the Irish trilogy (especially Aidan in Jewels of the Sun), any book with The Quinn men, Finding the Dream (I love Michael Fury in his long black coat) and Honest Illusions. Have you read any of those?

Tucker99, if you are going to be on Deck 36 of the Star Trek Enterprise (which by the way I did not realize was anywhere near that large) you might as well see the rest of the ship while you are there. Also you would get along great with my dad who loves reading those leadership books. I thought he was the only one. My DH likes that new Battlestar Galatica as well.

Robyn

Ok...here is my take on the 5 questions...

1. If I could go anywhere, where would I go?

WDW, DL, DLP, DLT, and DLHK in that order!

2. If I had a million dollars what would I do with it?

Invest it so that I would make $100,000 per year in interest and never touch the principal so that my daughter and her decendants could do the same.

3. All time favorite movie?

Raiders of the Lost Ark. Its the adventurer in me!

4. Favorite TV Show?

Law & Order..any of them

5. What books do I read?

Anything by Tom Clancy or any business/management related title.

I do think they were jealous of Colby!! I don't think any Survivor has been that popular before (or that hot!! :smooth: )

I loved the Irish Trilogy as well! I don't think I've read any of those other ones...I'll have to look for them. I haven't read any of the NightShade books, so I'm bringing 1-4 on the cruise with me! Can't wait to read them!

Bob - I'm thinking :scratchin I may have to hire you as my financial planner when I get that million!! Your plan is much wiser than mine!

well i'd say if i could goanywhere it would be at a month in australia for me.
we'd build that dream farm home out in the country, that we've got planned.
new sierra denali and yukonxl denali, and retirement account, private school tuition for two, college scholarships for two and a big tithe to the church.
i would go with once upon a time in the west for my favorite movie.
csi is the best show on tv since miami vice, and as for reading material, my all time favorite books are the chronicles of narnia and the lord of the rings trilogy.

iwish that we were cruising the first week of december, imagine unlimited showings of the lion, the witch, and the wardrobe. that wouldn't be iowa, that would be heaven.
