Still no docs here yet either. Our last two cruises I know they came much earlier than this! I almost stalked a UPS truck here the other day!

My DH is finally joining me in getting excited!! The closer it gets the more he talks about it.

Why is it when you are getting ready for vacation everything that can go wrong does? Our car just started having radiator trouble and my DH had to take it to the shop. Here's praying it woun't be too bad and cut into our vacation fund! Now if I can just keep everyone healty till after the cruise then they can get sick. I keep reminding my DH to wash his hands at work so he doesn't come down with anything!

Can our vacation start now?

Did you guys see the cabin layouts??? It looks like the split bathroom has plenty of counter space.. is this right? If so, I might leave my over the door organizer. And the closet seems to be ample sized and lots of drawers.

We take at least 2 major vacations a year and people sometimes shake their heads and tell me that my daughter isn't going to remember these places that we take her. I tell them that we don't take her places so that she could remember the places, we take her because we take FAMILY vacations as a family. Just because my DD is only 11 months old doesn't mean she can't go to Sweden with us.. it's our vacation and it doesn't matter if she remembers or not.. we enjoy spending time with her wherever we go.
This Disney cruise is not only for my DD's birthday, but it's for all 3 of us, spending time together having a great time.. that's what family vacation is all about. And we're super EXCITED!!

Nighty night.. I'm going to bed with only happy thoughts and not worry about the $$$ we've spent thus far on this vacation

I totally agree. Yes, DD won't remember this cruise but WE will and we can always show her pictures anyway. It's about sharing something together.

One of the bathrooms (with the toilet?) had a three tiered corner shelf but honestly I can't recall any usable counter space. I am a heavy packer though. I found a lot of the tips to be silly but I mloved the over the door shoe holder mostly because I bring a lot of lotions and crap. You could also use the desk for storing these things as well. I used the desk as a vanity )there's nothing like blow drying your hair with a view of the Caribbean sea) but I like keeping everything out of site.

I called DCL today and they told me Dreams Unlimited has cruise docs mailed directly to the client's home. Like everyone else, I was told they were sent UPS three day on Friday.

I also asked about movies on the ship and here is the list I awas given:

That is really funny because I just got off of the phone with Harry and told him that three suitcases will be more than enough. He wants to take four so there will be plenty of room to bring home duty free I said no way am I taking four suitcases, we did that last time and that was He said we'll argue about it later.

So sorry about your car! I know what you mean about everything going wrong though. I came into hte office Monday morning and my computer would not boot. The Dell technician just left and one motherboard, processor and power supply later I am finally running again.

For those of you staying at Port Orleans before the cruise...if you are going to Downtown Disney be sure to take the boat ride to get there. It's very pleasant, much nicer than the bus ride. Port Orleans is where DH and I always stay. It's really nice.

I have never stayed there but I think we may next time we go to WDW. The boat ride sounds great. We love the boat ride from WL to MK.

Karen (me) and Maryann are long-time friends who met l-o-n-g ago in PA. I now live in Orlando, and Maryann lives in Cape Coral. We have cruised together before, and Nicole (Maryann's daughter) is joining us this time. We plan to spend a lot of time at the adult pool.

Wow. You guys are on a roll, I can't believe how many posts there are since yesterday!

We had two almost "all-day" rain events in WDW this past August. We were suprised because we're so used to the short-lived torrential downpours and then the sun comes out. We vacation in Orlando alot so we pretty much know what we can count on. But this past Aug 1st and 2nd or 2nd and 3rd (can't remember exactly).....was just almost continually raining all day. In fact, it was so bad that one of those days the Orlando airport flooded from all the rain. I sure hope we don't see that kind of weather for our halloween party.......

I've come to the conclusion that the weather here is just nutty this year. After the nice meteorologists convinced me that the weather would clear up any day now with a high bringing nice weather, my husband pointed me to the radar and asked me if we had missed a tropical storm, because there sure is a lot of rain coming in off the Atlantic. Horrified, I checked every site I could find online, and no, it's just a tropical wave/low bringing us rain. But it's been raining for 24 hours now, and may continue at least through tomorrow. I hereby retract any statements about lingering rain, because this year is just too weird weather-wise to make a generalization.

Therefore, my new statement is that I insist that the weather be good for y'all to attend MNSSHP. It's simply necessary. However, since I've been wrong before, I suggest preparing for the worst and hoping for the best.

I hope everyone sees great weather for their great vacations, whenever they start/end. However, I reserve the right to be jealous of the people who get to start their vacations before I do.

Here's hoping we all see great weather!
