We're 4 days closer to our cruise than the last time I posted. In other exciting news - we have to go to Pasadena next May for a wedding. The Thursday before the wedding, the wedding party is going to Disneyland. Husband is an usher so that makes us part of the wedding party! Going to Disneyland without the kids!!! I will get to ride Pirates! (They closed it in March, right before our week long visit to refurbish - I was ticked!!!) I'm so excited!! Disneyland 4 months before the cruise! I'll be rearing to go!

We were at DL in March and it was chilly. So, maybe it won't be as chilly in May? But being from Phoenix, we freeze any time we leave the area.

This will be my first visit to DL without kids since I've had them! Not that I don't love my kids and want to have fun with them but this will be really nice for DH and I! After all, we never did have a honeymoon!

Hello there, guys! I've been reading your nice little thread here for a couple of weeks, hoping we were going to be booking this same cruise date. Well... WE DID IT!!! Just booked two cabins today for our family of 5.

It'll be myself (42 come cruise time), DH (42), DS (13), DD (11), and DD (5 - almost 6).

DH and I have only cruised once - with Carnival. Although we are frequent visitors to WDW, and I even managed to get out to DL this year for the 1/2 Marathon, this will be the first DCL cruise for our family. I'm so very excited and looking forward to all the research, planning, and getting to know our fellow cruisers better while we wait.

I love the door signs!!!! Let me know what we need to do to get one also!.. We had so much fun with door signs this year, cant wait to get more for next year.

Hope everyone is doing well, we are off to shop, starting to getr ready for thanksgiving at our house.

our DS will be 13 the week after the cruise!!! Sounds like they will have a great time. When we went this year we never saw him till the clubs closed and he was gone by breakfast.

First I/we just want to say and glad you decided to sail with all of us next September.
As far as the door sign goes, just send me pm/e-mail with the names of your group who wil be on the cruise if you have two rooms I will make two green Mickey heads, one for each door. Don't forget the Cabin numbers.

Just PM'ed you no problem with the door sign at least we will know what group has the green mickey head signs. By the way when printed the top (big) one will take up a whole 8x10 magnetic sheet and only two small ones per 8x10 sheet. They look much nicer if you cut them out (trim excess magnet sheet from green head).

REMEMBER! anyone wanting a green Michey head door sign just let me know.

kimmcbee, it's great to hear that your DS had so much fun on the previous cruise. I imagine the added freedom they have on the ship makes them feel really grown up and to enjoy the experience even more. My DS is 12 now, but will be 13 1/2 by cruise time.


grumpy-gramps, your signs are great! I've heard about doing magnetic door signs, but hadn't seen pictures before. Very cool!


I have to admit to thinking way ahead about some of this stuff. JCPenney has some beautiful black cocktail dresses out now -quite a variety too. All I could think was, 'oh, this one would be pretty for formal night, no, this one would be better'. I think I need to set a cruise budget now.
