Last night's MNSSHP was a sellout, the second known one of the season (after Halloween itself). This was even with the rainy day yesterday.

I've been to two prior MNSSHPs that were sellouts--both on the Friday of the last weekend in September--but this one "felt" the most crowded to me. Ride lines short as always, character lines (those that we did) not too bad, but the Hub was as busy as I've ever seen it after the fireworks and the parade route was jammed for the second parade. (I'm thinking there wasn't a first parade due to the weather, but not sure.)

:faint: Good Grief I am hoping that the weather cancelled the first parade and that it's not because we keep advising people to go to the second one

Last night was the last Friday night that CMs could get discounted tickets. That's why we went last night, so probably a lot of CMs at the party last night. We would have gone in October otherwise.

We didn't find the 2nd parade crowded at all. We watched it in front of Tony's though. Makes for an easy exit after the parade ends. Made it on to the ferry just before the torrential rain started.

It comes down to where you are on the route and certainly personal perspective. We've watched the second one from a similar position before and this just struck me as more crowded than in the past. And I'm not one that normally complains that it gets worse every year.

Can you confirm the first parade was cancelled or not? I wasn't paying attention.

Both parades were packed went we went to a sold out MNSSHP last year. We watched both parades from The Liberty Tree Tavern.

I don't know for certain if was cancelled or not, but I don't think it was. We passed through the hub area on our way to tomorrowland just before it was supposed to start and Phineas & Ferb were doing the pre-parade dance thing. Everyone was lined up along the parade route.

Thanks to you both. I saw the crowds gathered but wasn't sure if it actually stepped off. I remember a light sprinkle going on about then.

The first parade went ahead last night. We were in the sinister soirée area so it was fine there, but absolutely packed around the rest of the hub.

It was raining but lightly on and off during the parade and hallo wishes. It got really heavy around 11:30 or so. We've done sold out parties before but last night did feel more crowded than in previous years.

We've been here since Monday and have never seen so much rain in all our September visits. We're here another 12 nights, hoping it improves at some point soon, sitting on my balcony at the Yacht club and it's raining with lots of grey clouds in the sky! If it wasn't for the fact it's warm it would be like being back home in England!!

I also found MNSSHP very crowded last night. It's already been said that the first parade did go, but I'm pretty sure it was minus the headless horseman. Both the Villain Stage Shows - before and after - Hallowishes were cancelled.

I went to the Haunted Mansion after the fireworks - it said 15 minutes, but it was so packed all around it was difficult to maneuver into the line.

Tuesday night's second parade seemed crowded to me. We waited to do the second parade and it didn't seem like the crowd was clearing out. We had a great time though.:goodvibes:goodvibes

After that rain went through about 11:00p, the park emptied big-time from what I saw. Popped in 2 or 3 last-minute rides and a M&G in the last 15.

We have had a lot of rain this week for sure. Normally it rains for a short period of time and stops. The rain on Tuesday was crazy! I didn't think it was ever going to stop. It's great for our new sod, but for those visiting it stinks. Friends of ours that were visiting went to their first MNSSHP Tuesday night. I felt terrible for them.

Happy to read that the ride lines were short and the character lines were not too bad despite being sold out. I can't wait to attend my first MNSSHP on 10/28. :goodvibes

I attended the Tuesday night MNSSHP - the one with the monsoon…I stayed until the end, and had a GREAT time - although I was a drowned rat.

Apparently, some of the guests wanted refunds of the party, due to the inclement weather - but Guest Services was offering them a ticket for a different night, instead. I would imagine that a lot of the guests took the Friday night party, as some may be going home this weekend and wouldn't have had another opportunity for another night. When I heard what they were offering, I had a feeling that Friday night's event would be very, very crowded.

We rode Big Thunder, last night during the monsoon. I was surprised they let it continue to operate. Now I know why they shut it down during the day! Our clothes, purse, wallet, backpack were completely soaked through, and are still drying out. It was craziest ride ever.

But yes, I can confirm first parade happened, minus Headless Horseman. It was actually pretty dry for the parade.

The MNSSHP threads for this year have been verrrrrrrrrrrry quiet. Much more so than past years. I'm trying to decide if this is a good thing, or a bad thing.

And I'm really hoping this rainy weather pattern abruptly dries up.

I had also heard that the previous party was a wash and a lot of people asked for refunds for tickets for Friday, selling it out.

Just an FYI....We are here now and DH went to buy tix for either tomorrow (9/28) or Thursday (10/2) and was told Thursday is sold out. He bought at Coronado springs just this afternoon so we are going tomorrow.

ANy chance it just seemed more crowded because of the construction walls?

A friend of mine was there last night and he thought it seemed empty. So I guess it all depends on perspective.
