September 22-29, 2011 Dreams come true-photo book

Ok everybody. I have just finished my photo book from our September 3 day Dream cruise, and wanted to share it with everybody. I think it turned out great if I do say so myself.

This was our 3rd cruise, but was by far the best so far. My biggest observation is, 3 nights is not long enough!

We are almost dead center of the state. 50 minutes west of Raleigh and 45 minutes south of Greensboro. I'm glad you liked the book. It was pretty easy with such a beautiful ship.

I will say, if someone is debating whether or not to stay in a category 9B outside stateroom on deck 2... it is very quiet and comfortable. We were right around the corner from the Enchanted Garden, one deck up from the forward gangway, and one deck below guest services, shopping, the atrium, and the 2 remaining dining rooms. We were really close to everything except Cabanas.

We were also low enough that I don't remember feeling the ship move at all.

Having sailed once on Carnival, once on Royal Caribbean, and once on Disney, I have to say that Disney has everybody beat on customer service, and things our family likes to do. Character meets are MUCH better than the Dreamworks experience on Royal.

It was actually very simple to do. I probably spent 3-4 hours to put it together. Then I let it sit as a project and kept coming back to it over the period of 3 or 4 days and would change a picture here or there, or change the wording.

This was the first time I used Shutterfly to do a book. All the others have been on Snapfish. I loved the fact that Shutterfly would let me use my photographs as background on the pages. The biggest part of my time was spent just deciding how I wanted the book to flow... after that, it was pretty simple.

We were in 2010. Loved the location. For our 2013 Fantasy cruise, I gave my children the option of a balcony or the 9B and they chose the 9B.

We drove down, spent the night at All-Star Sports and drove over the next morning, so I can't give you any information on air transportation.

Did you pre-order the cake?

Yes, I preordered it. It came with room decorations (door magnet, banner, mickey fountain, and a fountain hanging from the ceiling... To be honest, the cake was nothing special, but I really liked the decorations... plus, our cabin steward had our room all decorated when we got on board. It floored my son, who turned 13 the day we got off the ship.
