September 22, 2012 Fantasy Eastern "From Fantasyland to the Fantasy"

Congratulations!! That's so exciting. My DH and I celebrate our honeymoon on the Dream last year. We registered for things on the Disney Honeymoon Registry (shore excursions, wine packages, massages etc).

Thanks :) yes it is so very exciting. I cant wait. Its getting close now. thats cool that you also celebrated your honeymoon onboard the Disney Dream. Ahh ok very nice. We havent done that yet. Ill have to look into it.

We have to pick a password to check our daughter in and out of the club. How does that work. Do you whisper the password to a CM?
If it's spoken how do they keep other people from hearing your password?

What is the procedure?

You will "authorize" individuals to pick up your kids from the club/lab AND they need to know the password. Whenever I picked the kids up (they didn't go there much), there weren't others around, so while I didn't yell the word, I didn't have to whisper either.

We cruised with another family the first time, so all 4 parents could pick up any/all of the kids. You have to be an "authorized" person AND know the password to actually get the kids.

HTH!

You have to show key card plus the password. Just make sure that anyone you want to authorize to pick them up is on the list.

It's been a little quiet around here the last couple of days! Soooooooooo....let's play a little game to get things moving again! I will ask a question about DCL. The first person to respond has to ask another question about DCL. Example - Me: What is your favorite thing to do in the morning on the ship? First person to answer: I like to.... (Now you ask a question - and if it's your first DCL, you can ask a question that you need answered.)

Ok? Ready, set, go!

So, what is your favorite thing to do in the morning on the ship?

Have room service bring in the coffee and sit on the verandah with a cup and just totally relax.

My question: I know where to go on the Magic and Wonder but on the Fantasy, where do you go that first day when you get there on ship to see about last minute reservations for Palo?

Will you please update out stateroom to #8562 and switch us to the Second Dining in the rollcall please? Thanks!!!!! We got a free upgrade in our stateroom! Very excited!!!

Got it! Congrats on the upgrade!

I don't know, but I hope someone can answer soon so that I can play!

By the way I get the coffee the night before because the carafe they serve it in stays hot all night. That way I don't have to wait for room service in the am.

I've been told to go to Guest Services on Deck 3 to see about last minute reservations for either Palo or Remy's. Hope that helps!

My question: When you've booked certain excursions through Disney, how do you know what you're allowed to bring, and whether you're supposed to wear specific clothing? For example, we have the Hike, Kayak and Snorkel booked on St. Thomas, but if we're going to be in the water the majority of the time, do they recommend that we not bring cameras and such with us? :confused3

Unfortuantely unless it's mentioned in the description of your excursion, you won't find any additional information until you open the envelop in your room (excursion ticketes will be in an envelop along with any other paperwork needed - i.e some excursions may require waivers, etc). Although you may want to call DCL but no promises on a good or even correct answer.

I do know that when I did a sea lion encounter excursion in the Bahamas on my Dream vacation, it specifically noted that you could not have cameras during your actual encounter (before and after your time with the sea lion was fine). This was because the sea lions would think they were toys. Remember however that if you take a camera, you will want a waterproof camera or something that can preserve your camera while you are in the kayak/water.

My Question: What are you most interested in exploring first on the Fantasy??

And FYI - I've actually heard that you can make reservations (for those that could not book on line) and changes by going to directly to Palo (at a certain time) or by calling.

I checked the first day navigators for the Fantasy and all state to go to Palo or Remy from 1-3:15. From 3:15-5:00 they have a number for you to call. The line will probably start forming much sooner than that. I know I got in line for a Palo reservation on my Alaskan Wonder trip and 1/2 hour prior to them taking reservations I was fifth in line!!

All information will be on your "all aboard" 1st day navigator you will receive at check-in.

I have 2 answers... If we are able to get our upgrade at port it will be the conceirge area and lounge...if we don't dd will want to explore the pool deck...

My question: What island are you looking forward to the most and what will you do?

What I am looking forward to most is the "new experience" of the Fantasy- how it differs from the Classic ships, the new shows, restaurants, character experiences, etc. :goodvibes

My question: After you board the ship what is the FIRST thing you are going to do?

My question:

I'm looking forward to ALL the islands, because I'm not getting off! I will enjoy the empty ship :) Except Castaway Cay, of course. I will definitely be getting off there!

Animators palate for the drawing show. Since I was on the Dream I did experience all three. Loved Royal and Animators and thought EG was okay. Course that may have had something to do with the menu as I remember it being more heavily towards seafood which I don't eat.

Question: which adult venue can you not wait to see???

I can't wait to see the Tube. Having been to London, I'm looking forward to seeing all the details Disney is known for.

Question: Does anyone know details about the "Rainforest Room"? I've heard it mentioned, but there's not a lot of information.

Guess what came today :-)
