September 22, 2007 -- WESTERN

I know Marsha had mentioned before about trying to contact the photgraphers on the ship to do it as well. :thumbsup2 I think that's a great idea.....That way we won't have to have 50 diffrent photos taken with tons of diffrent cameras.

I think both places would be good. The stairs like you said would probably allow everyone to be seen "Better"...and depending on the lighting, looking down on the pool could be quite dark if it's shaded. I'm sure if we can get a photograper to do it I'll turn out great no matter where we decide. ;)

I suppose "IF" we did get a ship photographer to do the shot...we could do both places. The one from above really should take much organization...just group together and look up. Then staggaring on the stairs shouldn't be to hard either.

All of the picture ideas sound fine with me. Just tell us where to stand and when to smile and we're fine. I think that having a DCL photographer take the picture is a great idea. Is there a way to get that set up ahead of time?

The Margarita Monday is with the assumption that they will have one on Monday. If not it will be Thursday. What we had talked about was the very first one offered on the cruise. But I did check a number of Western Navigators and all of them had one on Monday. As a matter of fact, most had all four tastings every day at sea. Yikes! Well, some did run at the same time.

In the past we have had a group photo done on the secret verandah aft on deck 7. It might be easier to have it done at the meet before everyone scatters. You can have one of the ships photographers do it and then those that want one can go to shutters to buy it. Mike

I could probably get a hold of a photographer set up soon... if not on my first cruise. I might get Kostin(CM) to do it.

With everyone having different schedules may I offer some suggestions.

Designate a meet area for Pirate Deck Party.
Designate one Midnite dessert buffet to attend. Perhaps the one with the chocolate fountain.

Designate a Bingo gathering?
Designate a group massage? :rotfl2: OK maybe not. :confused3

Just a couple thoughts.

Other ideas for smaller groups

Beer Tasting
Cigars up Top
High School Musical Dance Party (I hope they offer this. For my DD of course. I have heard it was on some of the Med cruises)

Group Massage !:lmao: :lmao:

Bingo sounds great to me... and any buffet with dessert.

How about Hairiest chest, biggest belly, or best snorer?:lmao: :rotfl2:

Looking forward to seeing all of you soon. Don't forget guys, that scoops also serves fresh fruit and frozen yogurt for those of you that are health conscious. Some like me are just about beyond saving.popcorn::

The drink station on deck 9 has coffee, milk, hot water for tea, fruit punch, lemonade, and some HiC products that you can self serve 24 hours a day. One our last cruise, Kathy and I had some bubba mugs that we took to the drink station, so that we did not have to make too many trips. Mike

HI ALL!!!!!

Realfam doing our Monday DISboard check in.
With all our holidays, we always travel with our big thermos cooly mugs. Great for mixed drinks or a few beers by the pool. Two years ago I got biggest mug I have ever seen at Blizzard Beach, holds close to 3 drinks at one time. (keeps them cool and saves on travel and mixing time). I encourage everyone to make sure they pack there insulated mugs. If you don't have one, I'm sure you can find one cheap or purchase DCL one.
Its important to keep yourself hydrated in the sun!

We try and check the postings daily, but were never near a computer on weekends. Sounds like were going to be travelling with a great group of people. We'll be pretty easy to pick out boarding. Just look for a pregnant woman with a husband saying eh! alot and 11 year old girl. More than likely wearing some sorta of Canadian flag.
Love reading your posts, keep them coming eh:thumbsup2

Alex

Well we can plan to goto the Bingo at the end of the cruise where they guarantee they will give out the Jackpot.

Perhaps we can make a deal. If a Dis'er wins they have to buy a round of drinks.

For anyone with late dinning, if you see our bunch coming, scoot back as we are a laughing zone table. Just hope our tablemate Marsha remembers to cut the power on her power chair. Her laughter may cause an unintended accidental activation and run over unwary diners.:lmao: Mike

Papa....I agree taking the group photo at the first meet before everyone scatters would be the BEST idea. I like the idea of the aft deck 7...BUT IMO it would be hard to get everyone moved there at that time or to plan to meet up at a later time would be hard as well. SO....I think doing the group photo at the first meet by the Micky pool (on the stairs or from above) is what we'll be looking at. Oh...and to have the pick taken by a ships photograper. Bareacuda will be in charge of getting the photographer there. To make matter smoother maybe we should set a time for the photographer...say 3:30??? That way we'll have a little time to meet, get a drink and get set up for the pic hopefull just in time for the photgrapher to arrive. ;)

I'm not 100% sure...but I think there's only one MN dessert buffet. Of course theres the buffet set up on Pirate night...but I think only one actual Dessert buffet. Anyone else know diffrent?? I haven't looked at any recent navagators...and haven't been on a Disney cruise for 2 years:scared1: ...so things may have changed.

OH...I HOPE there's a HSMDP....my DD would LOVE LOVE LOVE that. That could be the highlight of her cruise. Cross my fingers that they'll do it on our cruise.

Pirate Party deck party could be fun.... last time we got out from dinner so late that we really had to fight for a spot. By planning a group thing hopefully those who got there early could scope out some space for those of us who have late dinner. Any suggestions on where to be for the Pirate party?? We were up on deck 10 looking down at the stage last time. I have to say...there wasn't much of a party spirt up there...but it did make for a good spot to see the fireworks.

Wonderful News Melody! Congratulations!

Only 53 Days!

Since we have requested 8:30 seating , I'm not sure if we will get to the Pirate Party in time. For those of you that have seen it, is the Pirate Party pretty close to the Sail Away Party with a bit of theatrics when Mickey saves the day? I think that I am picturing a cross between the Sail Away Party and Fantasmic. If we miss most of it, we will just watch the fireworks from either our verandah or from deck 10 towards the front of the ship.

Has anyone decided what they are going to wear for Pirate's Night? Steve decided he is just wearing a black Pirates of the Caribbean t-shirt and a pair of Dockers. So I guess we are not doing full costumes. I found a great tank top at the Disney Store. It is burgundy striped and has a black outline of the Flying Dutchman. It looks pretty good with a black skirt. Maybe we will get a couple of black scarves to wear on our heads too. I bet FatCat has something outlandish to wear! :)

Eva,

That is a lot of Pressure!!! :crowded:

My kids are set.
My wife is going to dress normal and be a Wench.

So far all I have is a T-shirt and a hat and an eye patch. pirate:

I wanted to keep it toned down because I do not like to stand out in a crowd.
:grouphug:

Chris, add a pair of pants to your wardrobe and then you will be set:lmao: :rotfl2: otherwise you will definitely stand out in the crowd.:rotfl2: :rotfl2:
