This will be our 12th cruise - this time with NO kids (well, none of our own anyhow )! I'll be the 40-something bald guy with a beer in his hand walking the wrong way on deck 7 looking for his cabin.

WELCOME I didn't realize there was a wrong way on deck 7....I'm sure I'll be going the wrong way as well.

From the looks of our dis group and all the talk we've had about tastings, beer and mixed drinks the ship better be stocked up WELL for us. Maybe we should send in a fax request to DCL just so they know were comming.

Thanks everyone for the congrats to my kids. Anthony just started his second tournament, so hopefully this time there will be a 1st place in sight! we won game 1. If not, I am still just as proud of him. Peyton is now done with swim until October. Whew!!

Sandi, don't say that about the ship running out of beer & liquor! Remember last time when they ran out of the wine that Jim & I had purchased with the wine package! They run out of liquor, there might just be someone swimming to shore to restock (an not me)!

Eva, I am right with you about the weather. It has been beautiful. Sure beats sitting out at a ballfield in 95 degree weather. Congrats on all the shopping!! I am thinking you may need more than tanks, shoes & swimsuits though. You better get back out and do some more shopping!!

Well, it is way past my bedtime!! I am going to be a miserable person at work tomorrow! Yikes!!

Sandi, I hope that Sydney's doing better! I know how scary that can be...Kaylee gave me a scare a few weeks ago. She came home from Girl Scout Day camp and started vomiting so much that I was about 2 minutes away from taking her to the ER. Turns out that several of the girls in the troop were sick as well. The heat has been brutal this year! Please give her lots of hugs from us !

Kathy, Congrats to the kids! It is so great for kids to be a part of any team sport, because they learn how to be good winners and good losers...an important life skill. Plus they have FUN!!!

I may just have to do some pre planning and bring a bottle or two aboard with me Cyndi, Jesse and I have been doing quite a bit of expermenting on mixing some drinks during our monthly gathering...I'm hopeing to find a GOOD but EASY drink to whip up. Anyone know if they have lemonaid onboard??

We went out with Jesse's brother a couple weeks ago and I ordered a drink that was SUPER yummy Now if I can just remember what it was called.....Maui Waui That was it... It had Midori, Rum, Pineapple juice and oj.

You will be surprised that many of us are celebrating 25th or 35th wedding anniversaries on the cruise. CustardTart (Karen) is even doing a vow renewal for their 25th. It is our 25th as well. So there is a whole gang of us going that will be without children. Boy, the adult pool is getting more crowded by the minute!

That Maui Waui sounds great. I am going to bring some Crystal Light lemonade and a large bottle of vodka. And maybe a bottle of Malibu to mix with Diet Coke. I like both those ideas because you can get Malibu and Smirnoff's in large plastic bottles.

Now...are you talking the mini tubs of Crystal light...the ones that make 16 oz? Or are you talking the ones that make a pitcher full? If so....where do you plan on mixing it? Packing a full sized picture is an idea I guess....

ONG Sandi! Is Sydney ok now? No other symptoms? I guess it's a good thing you have a check up soon. And make sure she pounds that water. She's so petite I am sure it is really easy for her to get dehydrated. Did the Dr's say anything about the heat/sun and interactions with any of the meds that she is on? LOL Sorry!!! You are the nurse...and I as usual am just the major mommy worry wart! Can't wait to see you guys this next week!

Kathy~ Congrats on the kids and their accomplishments! How exciting for you and Jim, I know you both are so proud! Can't wait to see you guys & see how much the kids have grown.

Stacey~ YAY! I am really glad you guys are bringing Tegan! I need a good baby fix! I am sorry to hear that Kaylee was so sick, it's always scarey and so much more unconfortable in the summer. Glad she's feeling better!

I have been so busy these last couple of weeks I had to read & read & read to catch up! lol Sounds like all of our cruise buddies are staying just as busy. Speaking of cruise buddies has anyone heard from Brady/Marsha? I didn't see any posts from her latley....hope she is ok.

Ohhh and of course to all of the new cruise diser's joining all of us!

Gosh Sandi~ I think this dis meet is going to be bigger & WAAAAYYY better than the last one! We are all going to have a blast! And I think it would be a good idea for someone to advise The Magic CM's that they might want to have one of the lifeboats ready to run to the nearest port for more booze!!!

Well I am leaving today to go back home for a 2 week visit so I hope everyone has a great couple of weeks and I can't wait to get back and catch up on all of the posts...I am going to try to check in while I'm away. Gotta go finish packing....am trying to get creative so that I can fit Sandi's girls b-day presents in my suitcase to avoid the GD post office lol! Take care all! have you seen these or considered one for Sydney?

I have two different kinds, one you must freeze the cool paks. but the one i use the most i can regenerate the cool paks in ice water in about 20 mins. then last about 2-3 hours before needing to regenerate the paks again.

Eva, for a different flavor to the Crysal Light, we use UV Red. It is a vodka with Cherry flavoring and very, very good. Goes down real easy. There is also UV Blue, which is Rasberry vodka, but it does not taste as good in the lemonade. I like the blue in 7 up or Monster/Red Bull

Sandi, here is another drink for you to try at one of your group meetings...Sounds yucky, but is also very, very good.

1 can of frozen pink lemonade concentrate
Rasberry Vodka - equal part to the lemonade so just fill the can (it replaces the water)
2 cans of beer (or bottles). We usually use Miller Lite
Ice

Stir in a pitcher

Now before you start making faces just go ahead and try it. I cannot stand beer and you cannot taste it at all!! Just adds a different flavor to it. It is a good summer drink.


OK, now before you all start thinking that I do nothing but drink all day, you are right!!! Just kidding!! It is just that since I do not drink beer, I try different things and has a good friend that is the same so we get tired of the same stuff.
