You taking a hovercraft of some sort?

I am paying $270 including gratuity

Grocery stop

Round trip from MCO to Country Inn & Suites Cocoa Beach

They already put 20% in.

____

CI&S shuttle service is $3 pp. So I am paying $27 for a < 2 mile ride!!!!!

Thank goodness there are just the two of us and we are driving our car down to the port. We just park there at the terminal, pay the parking fee and the car is there when we return.

What was it Karen? 44 I believe. After 40 Eva, they just become another number.:hippie: Mike

About 770 miles to the port. Probably 1 and 1/2 tanks. It is about a 12 hour drive to Orlando, depending upon the call of nature and food stops. Mike

Sorry, Eva, I've already given the game away!

Oh well, it might have been fun to let everyone guess. Sorry that your DH will be gone on your special day. I have to work on mine. And our grand daughter is staying the weekend starting the 29th. We'll get in a celebration some time.

Hey Mike, maybe we will see you on the drive down. We go right through Nashville. Coming from Peoria, IL it'll take us about 19 hours to get to port. We are leaving around 3:00 or 4:00 pm on Thursday and should be at the Radisson about 10:00 am. Then we will have all day to swim and rest up at the hotel.

Boy, I need to get busy! Usually by now I have at least a few things stacked up and in bags waiting to go in the suitcase. Maybe it has something to do with the 10 pounds I have left to lose. I'm just not sure how things are going to fit yet. Is anyone else trying to lose a few pounds before the trip? If so, what are you doing about buying new clothes?

Eva be careful in the construction work zones. The fine for speeding in those areas is $500.00. The police chief here in town is big on his officers writing speeding tickets. Also the move over law. If you see a police officer's car on the shoulder you are required to move over at least one lane, if it is safe to do so. This is due to the fact that a state trooper was killed last year when a vehicle struck and killed him while helping a motorist in trouble. Mike

The Move Over law is very close to my heart as well. My dh is a Trooper and in the last 4 years, we have lost TWO coworkers in the same district (less than 30 minutes away from us), from tractor trailers hitting them while they were stopped on the side of the highway. Another trooper's wife started this nonprofit organization to increase awareness... http://f-o-r-s.com/ . I hope that everyone is careful when they are driving... there are alot of children out there that hope to see their Daddy come home every night.

:thumbsup2 My Dsil is a deputy here and I want him home safe every night to see his wife and kids!:goodvibes
Our driving part of the cruise is 160 miles of a 2 lane hi-way. Many accidents are just a normal out come on those roads. If anyone remember Bobcat Goldweith(sp?) ... he was killed on the road from Las Vegas... the same road we have to travle.

HELLOOOOOOOO!!!!!!! Boy, have I been gone from here along time!! We were having difficulties with our computer for awhile and now seem to be back up and running. Although with Baseball, Swim & work I probably wouldn't have been on too much anyway. Way too much going on. If I am not at a ballgame for my DS, I am at a Swim meet or practice for my DD or working late. I really have alot of reading up on.....

We are paid in full:yay: :yay: Now I can focus on booking Palo & anything else I think I might like to do. I am so excited!!!!

Well, I got alot of reading to do, just wanted to say "Hi" to everyone!!

Have never done the drive to Florida. I guess I get a fair amount of miles for traveling for work. Kids are not in school yet so we travel at off times for cheaper times and less crowds. I bet when I am forced by school holidays and airfares are more $$ I may make the drive.

My boss makes the drive. Always stops in Tenn. Restaurant called Sticky Fingers. Ever been to it?

I am actually not sure I would come out ahead much by driving with gas prices the way they are right now. And the extra time off work.

Heeeey everyone :]
My name is Jessica, and I'm 14 years old.
I will be traveling on the Disney Magic on September 22.
I would love to meet new people, and hang out with friends I have made.
Does anyone have a child that is around my age?
I would like to chat with them & meet them on the boat.
:D

Happy Birthday, Karen!

:bday: - Make a wish - :genie: I hope you have a lovely day, even though Richard has to be elsewhere! I'm sure he'll make it up to you somehow, right? pixiedust: party: :flower3:

Thanks for the information Mike. We have the same move over law. And I have seen a couple of people get ticketed for not moving over. We also have a law in Illinois about pulling over and/or slowing down to let emergency vehicles by. In central IL they will definitely nail you for not doing that. You ought to see vehicles scurry like ants when a siren goes off. If you don't move over, the fine begins at $150.

Doing the 3 Month Dance! :dance3: :woohoo:

We are leaving from Virginia around noon on the Thursday before the cruise. While we usually make the trip in one day, we are taking our time this trip.

We are also staying at the Radisson and will be using the shuttle to get to the ship. Does anyone know how the shuttle works coming back? We have a 'reservation' to get to the ship, but I have visions of 500+ people trying to get in a 15 passenger van or whatever they use. I guess there must be some system in place.

Thanks for all your good wishes! :grouphug:

Can't believe we only have 3 months until we're finally sipping a Bahama Mama onboard the Magic! party: party: party:

Can't wait to meet everyone... :goodvibes
