Internal compass - HA!:rotfl: remember how each time we went back to our rooms we went in the wrong direction!! Kathy

:lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

I will do it again this year, no doubt!!!! Remember the time we got off the elevator, you went right, I went left (or vice versa). We must have gotten the same distance down the hallway when we realized our mistake, because we met up again in the elevator lobby!:rotfl2: :rotfl2:

And this has nothing to do with alcohol, seriously!

Ladies, maybe you just need to tie a string to your door or the fish message holder, and the run it along the handrails to the elevators:lmao: :lmao: :rotfl2:

Mike

Sandi, sure the carpet was installed wrong!! :lmao: I am sure that they fixed that right away (after all we were the 2nd ship out after dry dock).I am sure that the drinks had nothing to do with your lost sense of direction!!:rotfl2:

Stacy, Yes, I clearly remember us each going the wrong way - if it was not for the door signs, I probably would have tried to get into you room too!! And you are right, alcohol had nothing to do with it (at least not that time). LOL!!

Papa, congrats on the new (used car)! And yes, maybe we need to tie strings to our doors, although if Stacy & I are staying on the same floor, we will need to use different colored string! :rotfl:

Lucky Penny, you are all in our thoughts in this sad time. It was a terrible thing that happened in VA. Makes you hug your kids a little tighter when something like that happens.

Kathy

Really...it had to have been installed wrong. :goodvibes I'm not sure where Stacy's room is this time...but I think you and I are on the same deck this time around...and on the same side of the ship. So maybe we'll luck out and have ThreeSmiths near by also...then we can just stick up some directional arrows up out side the elevator to direct us on which way to turn. I guess depending on which elevator we get off on (or stairs) we'd need a couple diffrent colored arrows so we knew which way to turn once we hit the actual hall :goodvibes I'll get working on those. :rolleyes1 Everyone else...if/when you see the sticky arrows all over the ship...don't pay any attention to them...those will just be to help us find our way back to our rooms:rolleyes1

Good afternoon, everyone! Hope you're having a good day and are looking forward to the weekend.

My DD printed out some copies of the most recent Western Navigator for me yesterday and DH got very excited as he had look through them. I don't think it'd really occured to him how much stuff goes on during the cruise and he definitely hadn't realised that there were evening entertainment options just for adults! So the cruise has really come alive for him - which is fab. He was excited before but in a kind of abstract way - now it's beginning to feel more real. :thumbsup2

I'm off to start getting ready. DH and I have a date at a local Italian restaurant, so I need to look pretty...

Hope that everyone has a great weekend. Karen we call those big trash cans, dumpsters. I can almost hear the sound of the rushing water sliding by the hull of the Magic now. Mike

Great news...I found some PERFECT sticky arrows at the office store today. AND better yet they have multiple colors. :lmao:

Why do you think we ALWAYS stay in the SAME room????
So I dont get lost!:lmao: No kidding!

Here's the sad part... I worked for the Sheriff's dept... in the Search and rescue division!:rotfl2:

That is like an auto mechanic having the worst car, and a cobbler that sends his kids to school with ragged shoes. Mike

Eva, thinking about you and your DGD - hope she's getting better! :flower3:

Karen, I've been reading some of the Navigators too and working hard to resist the urge to try EVERYTHING :lmao: You're right - it does begin to make it more real!! Hope you enjoyed your Italian restaurant date! :)

I'm sure this is going to be an adventure for me - DH calls me "navigationally challenged" - except in a shopping mall :rotfl2:

DH paid off DU yesterday :woohoo: Now we can start reserving things when we hit the proper date! He used the Disney Rewards Visa, so we have 6 months interest free to pay the balance to the bank :rolleyes1 Tomorrow we will be 5 MONTHS from our cruise (except Ann, who will already be cruising :boat:)

Our weather has finally turned spring-like and warm :sunny: I'm off to do some shopping and errands, and tomorrow I think we'll tackle the yard work - hope everyone has a great weekend.

scrapper jill, I peeked at your album on 2peas, great work! You did a ton of LO. I haven't yet scrapped our disney park trip from last september.

I'm glad to see that there are other kids about the same age as my DD. When they set up our tablemates, do they try to put us at tables with other families with kids. I'd hate for her to be the only kid at a table.

Congratulations Penny on paying off your cruise. We feel that we can earn the interest on our cruise money instead of the mouse. That is why Kathy said to just finish paying it off when due. I have to mind the boss:cool1:

I'm not sure if they try and put families with kids close in age at the same table of if when it happens it's just by luck. On our fiirst cruise I really didn't even realize they sat you with others and somehow or another we ended up being sat at a table alone. Which I liked...with it being our first cruise it was nice to be able to regroup as a family and discuss everything we did that day along with what we'd want to do the next day.

Another idea is to try and find someone on the cruise meet thread that may have kids close in age to yours and see if they'd like to link up for dinner.... Then you both would contact your TA or DCL which ever you booked through and have them make a note in your reservation the reservation # of the other family....Then you'll be sat with them at dinner. In some ways I think it's a nice way to do it. Chances are you will be sat with another family....and by linking with a fellow diser you'll know exactly who you'll be eating with before you even board the ship.

You can also put in a "request" to not be seated with others...but it's just a "request".

Mike... You are so right!:lmao:

Penny... Im only going early to make sure EVERYTHING is PERFECT when all of you arrive ! Someone has to do it you know!:rotfl2:

And good news... we pick up our ADD Erika tomorrow. Havent see her since the EB Repo in 2005!

Ann

hey gang. seems i haven't been able to keep up with posts for a couple days.

so whatever i missed, oops. if any hints of what i have missed drop me note <G> I think somewhere Mike you bought the new car right? Congrats. would love to hear how it handles, gas mileage etc.... and of course how much you are enjoying it.

will try going back to see what i missed at some point. things just seem so busy, scattered, hurried, etc... here at home and for work.

i think i have devised a way that will allow me to snorkel (in adult beach) and float my crutches while out there. I have to use them to walk out but needed way so not having to hold them in hands since I need hands/arms to swim <G> Bought two cheap ring floats. attach the two together. lay crutches on top and use rope/string to tie around ring floats. then tied a longer rope to ring floats that I can hold on to but yet also swim and move around. So the June cruise will be a good test if this works. If not then i go back to drawing board to figure out another way for Sept cruise. Oh I will be wearing a swim aqua flotation belt too so if get tired i can just float, or even not just have to worry about falling, and not being able to get back up. My physical therapist recommended this belt to me last year for Jan cruise but I didn't get one to take. But since now seems planning on cruising several times decided to go ahead and purchase it for June. Again will how it works and be a test run for Sept. Plus glad i waited was it was on sale last week and almost half off what would have paid last year <G>

off topic again: went and test drove the conversion van on friday. WOW. loved it. hope to sell my current car next friday or saturday. good chance will have new van by May 4th or the next week at the latest. between selling my car and getting van, i can use my company car. i am so thankful to work for this company.

next week I travel out of town for work. leave monday, scheduled to return thursday. but may return wednesday if the power chair is being delivered thurs instead of friday.

I am still so excited about this cruise but now that I am going in June for 3 nights seems I have been more focused on preparing for that one. a friend called me this morning to say she is going with me in June WOO HOO.

So far no one has said they are able to go in Sept but I am still tempting a few friends LOL.

I am feeling so excited, blessed in a way too that I have so many things to look forward to thru Sept. Three days in May friends coming in town and will be with them at POP and the parks. June the cruise. July friends coming into town and will spend the 4th with them at WDW. End of July going to fly up to visit family and celebrate with my mother her 77th birthday. Then Sept this cruise. Add to all this finally getting the power chair, conversion van, cooling vest, and eventually home modfications. The cooling vest I should get in about two weeks. This is going to be another blessing (of course if works like suppose to esp in this florida heat and humidity). It will help keep my body core temp regulated so not overheating which then causes BP to sky rocket, increases fatigue and other symptoms. I will look like wearing bullet proof vest so won't be making a fashion statement but oh well at least I should stay a little cooler in this Florida heat.

Ok I return you back to the topic of Magical Memory Tour of 07 <G>

5 months today!!!!

How fantastic is that?!!! :woohoo: :cool1: :cheer2: :dance3: :cheer2: :cool1: :woohoo:

Hope everyone's having a good weekend - we're decorating our garden room, which has been a junk room for a while, ready for it's new role as our study! Ordered a desk, chair and filing cabinet so I'm assuming DH and I will become super-efficient paperwork junkies in a week or so! Mmmm - we'll see... ;)

Well done Penny on paying off your cruise - we're going to do it v soon as exchange rate is so good. :thumbsup2

Hope you and your DGD are doing OK, Eva - missing you and hope you'll be able to post soon...

Great news on your snorkelling solution, Marsha! Fingers crossed it works out for you. I like the sound of that cooling vest - the heat/humidity can be a nightmare at times. Busy few months you've got coming up - you'll be ready to chill on the September cruise... :cool2:

Mike, hope Kathy's new job's going well and you're enjoying the car... :goodvibes

Sandi, I've sent your DD a postcard from London and will be sending her one from Paris next weekend - hope she gets them asap... :)

Better be off and help DH with the painting - the fumes play havoc with my sinus issues but the new study's looking good... :yay:

Just in case you forgot - it's 5 months until we cruise!!!!

Ann, we do appreciate your sacrifice :flower3:

TBH I've been so busy and distracted the last couple of weeks, I have done hardly ANY planning for our WDW trip at the end of THIS WEEK!!:scared1: So I will be spending some time on those boards for the next few days :surfweb:

The schedule so far is:
Saturday - :drive: from VA to WL, check in, and head for the Territory Lounge :drinking1
Sunday - DGD's birthday party
Monday - ??? ADR at CG
Tuesday - ???
Wednesday - ???
Thursday - ???
Friday - ??? ADR at Artist Point
Saturday - :drive: home :sad1:
Hmmm ... that doesn't look too bad ... nothing planned, just do what we feel like doing when we feel like it ... and it leaves time to get together with DS, DDIL and DGDs when they can ... what do you think? :thumbsup2

Sounds fabulous! BTW I'm not really saying that through gritted teeth coz I'm sooo jealous!!! :lmao:

Seriously, you'll have a wonderful time - sometimes it's good to forget the planning and just go with the flow... :thumbsup2

And don't go being funny and moving them around either!! Otherwise I will be trying to get into another person's room and that may not be good! :lmao:
