mickey bars on cruise or at the parks, yummy. i actually prefer at the parks the mickey ice cream sandwich but then i have black teeth LOL. still worth the black teeth to eat on of those too. <G>

;) The Mickey bars are SOOOO good...you'll have to give them a try. Best of all on the cruise you can order as many as you want...and there all ready included in your cruise fare.

The thing about the tips ALREADY being included in ALL of the beverage items is a GREAT one. It's something I'd learned before the first cruise...but with the way they present the 'ticket' for you to sign I'd totally forgotten...(the tickets have the line added to put in the tip amount) So every time we ordered something...we added the tip on also. We didn't even realize until after the cruise that by adding the tip on each time we were double tipping. Of course a good tip was in order quite offten....but other times it really wasn't ;) I have to say we did indeed get some GREAT service each time after the servers realized we tipped even more. ;)

Ok, We've been to WDW every year and then some for the last 12 years and can you believe it - I've never had a Mickey Bar either!!

Penny, We've never been to Victoria and Albert's and are debating making ADR for this trip too. What are the seating times?

Since we always stay in a 1-bedroom, we usually eat a light breakfast in the room. (Bagels, cereal, etc.) Then for lunch we have something around the pool or at a counter service in the parks. The only meal that we eat table service is dinner. We are hoping to get reservations for around 8pm for each night. Here's our dinner plans:

Saturday 29th - Le Cellier
Sunday 30th - Narcoossee’s
Monday 1st - Raglan Road
Tuesday 2nd - Victoria & Albert’s
Wednesday 3rd - Bistro De Paris
Thursday 4th - Bluezoo

Now to be honest, we may end up canceling a couple ADR's and just hang out and get a sandwich somewhere. DH is afraid that we will be tired of eating fancy food every night for two weeks. And he may be right. Some nights I just want a cheesburger, pizza, or a salad. Since we are staying at BCV, we can always swing down to Beaches n Cream for burgers and ice cream or head over to the Boardwalk for a sandwich and a beer at Big River Grille.

Eva, Victoria & Albert's is a wonderful experience so if you can possibly get to go IMO it's a must-do! :thumbsup2 I think there are 2 seating times, something like 6 - 6.30pm and 9 - 9.30pm. We went there back in August 2004 when we stayed at the Grand Floridian and had the wine pairings with the meal - we still talk about the evening! Just sorry we missed our chance last summer... Here's a link to the menus. http://www.allearsnet.com/menu/menu_va.htm#100506

Another one ready to try them on the cruise! :thumbsup2

Absolutely agree. At home we eat pretty simply - grilled fish/steak and a large salad is what we have most evenings - I get a bit twitchy if I don't get the amount of veggies I'm used to. Not that I want to scare anyone I'm sharing a dinner table with of course... :lmao:

I like the Roast Beef Sub at Beaches & Cream - looking forward to watching them make me one in October. I also love the New England Clam Chowder they do at the Yacht/Beach Club. Last time we stayed there, DD and I relaxed in Martha's Vineyard Lounge with a bowl of chowder and a Kir Royale - very civilised! :cloud9:

Jill, This will actually be our first time eating at bluezoo. I've been reading quite a bit about it. bluezoo is at the Dolphin Hotel and is owned by Tood English. It is dedicated to seafoods. Here is a link to their website: http://www.swandolphin.com/bluezoo/index.htm Their cantonese lobster looks fabulous. There was a thread over on the restaurant board that had a picture of it. DH and I love seafood so we decided to give it a try. I guess they have a bit stricter dress code than the signature restaurants and they do enforce it. Someone on the restaurant board said that they denied a person entrance because he had shorts on. I think that is all I know about it so far.

I AM SO EXCITED!!!!! After I showed DH this thread: http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=1109646 , he decided that we are going to book the Chef's Table at V&A. Yippee!!!!!!!!!!! I can't wait! I have to get my dialing fingers ready for 180 days out.

Eva, I LOVE THAT THREAD!!! Mr Disney and K Man make the Chef's Table sounds so fantastic!!! Actually they make all their dining experiences sound wonderful - I totally love those guys!!! All my fingers are crossed that you'll be able to book... :thumbsup2

I want to try bluezoo with DD in October. We wanted to go last time we had our Girls Only trip but never made it - we're big seafood fans too and it's easy enough to get to from the Yacht Club so here's hoping...

I'm starving. I've been over reading the WDW restaurant board trying to finalize my list. DH says that he wants to go ahead and leave two or three nights open for salads and lighter fare. So I am having trouble deciding. We know that V&A is for sure. As a matter of fact, DH says that we aren't going unless we can get the chef's table. We are open to any night, so maybe that will help. And I know that we are going to do bluezoo and Bistro De Paris. Now I just have to decide if I want to add one more. Oh well, maybe I will still go with the first plan and cancel when we aren't in the mood. I have a week to decide.

Well, I think I will go see what I can cook up for an early dinner. DH is at an agent's dinner for work, so I am on my own. I think that I might watch a movie :happytv: and eat a bunch of junk food. Yikes! I've got to quit reading that restaurant board! Catch everyone later.

Eva, those restaurant boards are a killer! I've had to stop myself from drooling many a time! BTW I do love that you guys are as food-orientated as we are! :thumbsup2

If you want to add an extra why not try Raglan Road? Apparently (and this is my big kids talking now) the atmosphere is great and the food pretty darn good too... Good luck with whatever you decide... :)

DisGal

thanks. and yes it made my day receiving the award <G>

Crocs came from Target, baby dept. I am looking for the blue ones for Pal. So far no luck. Dis Gal you keep looking too and as said we will call each other when find them.

today is again beautiful here, total blue skies. temps a round 84. For us spring is here and summer is around the corner.

:goodvibes Maybe that's why I stopped looking into Blue Zoo....I not a seafood/fish eater...I'vr read great reviews about it....but I'm thinking that once I peeked at the menu...I changed my mind;) That's the one thing about doing all the ADR for everyone in the group....;) I get to pick what I book or not.

You are so right Jill! I have always done the ADR's and do look for others to give input. But I have all final decisions! We do love seafood. But I do have to be careful. I found out years ago at Cape May Cafe that I am allergic to clams, mussels, and oysters. Yikes! That was some reaction that ended me up in Celebrations hospital. So I will definitely steer clear of those, even though I love them.

Marsha, Your Pals are so cute! The next time I go to Target I will look for the blue crocs. Is there a certain size they take? What size clothes to they take? I have a 17 year old grand daughter that may have some old clothes that will fit.

Karen, Yes, I have a tendency to plan my day around dinner. I love trying new foods and restaurants. From the original choices I had the only one we had been at before was Narcoossee's. There are not many restaurants left at WDW that we haven't tried. As a matter of fact, I am pretty sure that we will try to get reservations at Palo on Tuesday. Why? Because I have looked over every menu and the Master Chef menu seems the least appealing. Notice: I'm not deciding this based on what we are doing for the day or what activities that DCL has planned, but based on the food!

Thanks Eva. the crocs from Target are size 1. brand name something like circo sp? i recently bought shorts and cap sleeve shirst at online place called jiminee's.

Dressing up Pal and Minnie is a lot of fun even for a middle aged woman. Hey they are my kids <G>

Marsha, where did you get the sandals Pal Mickey is wearing? I'd love to get some for my DD's PM so he can have a more comprehensive wardrobe.
