September 2011 - The Planning Has Started!!!

Hiya everyone,

Can you add me to your list of the cool kids going to WDW in September? We'll be there 9/23-10/2. Just finished getting our ADRs all finished. What a trip!

9/24 - BBB and CRT for breakfast
9/25 - Mama Melrose (Fantasmic package)
9/28 - Tusker House for breakfast w/ Donald

Hoping to do the MNSSHP on 9/27. We are staying at All-Star Sports for two days and then renting a house in WH for the rest of our trip. This is our children's second trip to WDW, but the first they will probably remember. DD is 4.5 and DS is 2.5. Both will have birthdays right after we return, so we can save on DS admission cost this time. Yeah!

Anywho, look forward to chatting with you all over the next few months.

I'm with you, what a waste of obvious intelligence. I got the email twice, and wasn't any more amused the first time than I was the second. I despise hackers so, so much, but my firewalls and antivirus are good, so I'm trying not to sweat it. Getting a Disney Destinations email has never been more disappointing!

I know, I love getting emails from Disney, but that one was certainly disappointing! And now I've been notified by 3 companies, adding Best Buy to the list.

I signed into the WDW site today to see the lovely picture of the GF with my countdown only to see I have NO reservations! I called them so fast I think I almost set fire to the phone They were able to see both of my reservations so it must be an issue on the site. They gave me a heart attack!

im going sept 17 -21 of 2011 and it will be me and my daughters 5th trip. we will also be acoompanied by my mother and it will be her 1st trip ever. were staying at coronado springs resort in the casitas section.we will be doing mnsshp on sept 20. im so excited.

I've been having this problem on and off with the site for close to a month, I've memorized my reservation number since it happens so frequently. They've definitely got some kind of glitch in the ressie system right now.

They "updated" their reservations system a couple months ago and ever since, a lot of people have been complaining about missing reservations and such, including myself. It gets annoying to see them there one time and gone the next and then back again.

I know, this keeps happening to me as well. However, their "Update Reservations" and "Retrieve Reservations" features (located within your Profile or Account) seem to work well in restoring the data. As many times as my reservations disappear, those features keep bringing them back! It's frustrating, but they must have those features in place because they know it's a problem. It also allows users to resolve the issue on their own, from the comfort of their computer chair!

Mine has been doing that since this weekend. I went online last night it finally came up. To be MIA again.


Ok ladies I know we are all get these e-mail but I got the strangest one yesterday. It had my dates and everything and said welcome back to the AKL. Seriously we have never stayed there and we are at pop for this trip. So last night with the woky system I was finally able to see my reservation. Yes indeed we are still at pop. I'm looking everywhere to see if there is a pin but nothing. So weird.

Last week I logged in before bed, just to see my reservations and it said no reservations. I entered in all my numbers and it wsn't pulling anything up and all I could think was "What did I do to make the Disney gods so angry at me? " So I actually remade my dining reservations for times i didn't want and figured I'd check in the am. They were back and I deleted my extra ADR's, happily

I made my reservations for PL today. At first the CM had me concerned because she said there was no room for 3 kids on the 28th. I asked about cancellations and whatnot and through the conversation realized she meant 3 could't go at once. So two of the kids are at 9 and 1 at 9:10. She said since we have to be there 15 minutes before the appointment to show security and get in early. I had no idea youcould do that with PL so I was A brief walk through MK while empty sounds awesome

And I decided we aren't going to do MNSSHP this time, instead we are doing an extra day at the parks. This is only our third trip but we have never spent a full day at one park, the budget maniac part of me can't stand the thought of using one of my 10 day WP&M PH tickets at just one park but then I realized I was cutting off my nose to spite my face and a full day at MK sounds wonderful.

9/14/11 Boma at 5:40pm (Animal Kingdom closes at 5pm)
9/15/11 Ohana at 5:05 at the Polynesian
9/16/11 Boma at 8:30 am on departure day


All within 30 minutes of my asked for time! Now all I need is for the halloween party to be confirmed and tickets bought!

At least the fleet is getting a thorough review now, so that issues are resolved before you fly!

You might be too tired from a late night at MNSSHP to get up early for AK?

It's possible, but we probably won't stay til 12 am! Even with Paul sleeping in the stroller, DD is only 8 and not really a night owl! I kind of thought maybe we'd let them run around til 9 or 10 and then take them back to the resort, and maybe DH and I would run back out together just the two of us while the kids crashed out with grandma and grandpa.

The kids tend to be early risers (read 6:30 on the weekends...4:30 for DS this past weekend!) I am not saying the plan won't change, but at least it's a start!

I couldn't believe when I saw on the news this morning that they found another 3 in their fleet with the same issue. WTH!

I've actually been hoping that the issues they've found with the airlines would result in a lowering of fares!

I also think that the various fleets will be given much closer inspections due to the fall out from this and that it will be safer than ever by September...but hopefully a little paranoia will make it cheaper to fly for a little while!

Please add me to the list. We'll be there Sept. 17 thru 25, staying at All-Start Music. We're celebrating my cousin's college graduation, my daughter's 5th grade graduation, and my cousin's daughter turning 5. We're all excited and can't wait until September

My husband and I are going to WDW Sept 16-22 and will be staying at Pop Century!

This is his first visit, and I haven't been since 1996 when I was 16. Can't wait to go!
