We'll be at the kiddie pool or Goofy's water jets at Pop most afternoons that we're there from September 11-19!

Maybe some of us can exchange cell phone numbers before we go. I'd love to meet some of you! I bet we'll be spending quite a few afternoons at the Goofy jets too!

I hope I can cross paths with a few of you when we're at Pop from Sept 13-16 :thumbsup2

We always have a LGMH on our stroller, we usually decorate our resort window(not sure if we will this time since we head to the BC on the 16th) but a mini meet-up would be fun :goodvibes

I have been wondering about this, I booked our package with no flight and was wondering if I could just call Disney and add it to our package and pay for it after the fact. So, I'm guess I can call and book flights thru them and it may be cheaper even?

I don't see why not????? I am curious...let me know!!! We book separately because we found it cheaper but I am sure that can really vary, depending on where you are coming from and airline. With Disney we were always quoted connecting flights :scared1: Happy planning!

Have you checked the first post lately? Like near the bottom? ;)[/SIZE]

No I had not checked the first page since re-booking for October until today! You are too sweet L Harper....Thank You :)

I can not believe how long the list of September Travelers has become :)

I will be here to send everyone off when their time comes and I will be here to welcome you all back too, this thread is still the most hoppin' thread :goodvibes

We are flying to MCO on Sunday September 4, 2011 from AZ. We are booked to stay at Coronado Springs until the 16th. My kids are excited about the main pool (they liked the pics of this moderate resort pool better than the others). We had originally planned on staying at PopCentury, hope I'm making the right choice.:confused3

I am taking my daughters (11 & 10) for their 1st visit. Although I've been to WDW, way back in 1974 & 1983, so much has changed that it will feel the like 1st time for me too, besides this will be my 1st time as an adult.

We are celebrating our birthdays there and are sooo excited! I really want our WDW vacation to be truly special for them! :dance3:

I want to budget our money wisely and am still not sure if we should do the quick service dining plan, any suggestions, pro, con, otherwise? I’ve read good reviews of the Garden Grocer, which could save us on water and snacks.popcorn::

I am also not sure how many days I should buy tickets for visiting the four parks and maybe one of the water parks. I figure during our stay we have enough time to relax at the pool, visit Downtown Disney, maybe visit Typhoon Lagoon and at least once at least three of the parks.:confused3

I’ve also been learning about the hidden mickeys and the pin trading which might be fun for the kids.:earseek:

So, I would appreciate any helpful tips and ideas that will make this DisneyWorld vacation the Best I can possibly make it for my kids. Thanks!:thanks:

:welcome:to the new September travelers!

I have had several Dismeets at the bus stops in the mornings. They are just quick hi and how are you, but its fun! I saw on the TGM forums that they designed a pin for their vacation month to wear to the parks. It seemed like a fun idea, since only people from this thread would have them most likely.

I won $600 today! I ordered our Universal tickets and have enough left for lunch at Margaritaville while we are there too.

Welcome! A couple of ideas. Based on your length of stay, I would buy tickets for about 8 days or so. This would give you enough time to visit all four parks at least 1-2 times each, and it also builds in a day at the water parks, a day relaxing at your resort, and a day at Downtown Disney or elsewhere.

Did you book through any of the special offers going on right now (like the room discount one)?

As far as Pop or Coronado Springs, both are great resorts. Depending on your budget, I would personally choose to stay at Pop with the regular dining plan versus Coronado with the Quick Service dining plan. Since this is your children's first visit, they would probably enjoy some of the character meals and the regular dining plan is a cost-effective way to dine throughout Disney World!

I'm excited that you've stuck around with us! I'm SO happy that this thread is as chatty as it is. I feel like a lot of you are becoming my friends. It's awesome! :grouphug: It's also fun that there are actually people who care about my vacation.

I will be at BLT from Sept 25-Oct 6 :cool1:

:welcome: to our group! I have you added to the first post.

:welcome: to our group! I also have you added to the first post. If you are trying to save money, especially with that long of a vaction, Pop would save you quite a bit of money. We're staying there and I can't wait!

What a great idea!!! I have a friend who makes pins. (Not like Disney pins, but the circle kind that has the safety type pin on the back, if that makes sense) She sells through Etsy and they are like $1 per pin plus shipping. I could talk to her and see if she'd make a custom pin for us! Who would be interested?

Hey y'all!

Welcome to the new September travelers!

My whole family has been down and out this weekend with some sort of stomach virus. I hate being sick! Ugh! We are all pretty much on the mend now...I think.

We were well enough to go over ADRs today, so that was nice. DH brought up maybe doing the Fantasmic Dinner Package, but I don't know if I even want to try it.

Right now we have:

9/17 - breakfast at Boma
9/17 - dinner at Biergarten
9/18 - dinner at Boma
9/19 - breakfast at CRT
9/19 - dinner at Whispering Canyon Cafe
9/21 - dinner at Via Napoli (meeting friends who really want to eat there)
9/22 - dinner at 1900 Park Fare
9/23 - possibly lunch at Chef Mickey's if they add it again this year

We have a nice mix of our favorites and new restaurants.

I can make my ADRs a week from today!!! Yay!!

We are also looking at doing a weekend trip in January and maybe a weekend in May.

:worship:I appreciate the responses I've gotten. It would make more sense, money wise, to stay in a value resort and use the money I would be saving on character dining/dining plan.

Now I'm wondering which value resort, is Pop the better choice? Is there really any difference in the room, bus service, and resort dining? All Star Movies seems to be priced just alittle higher and I didn't know why.:thanks:

WTG on winning $600!

I can't decide about doing the Fantasmic Pkg either, DH says it is up to me he could care less about seeing Fantasmic. What I am thinking of doing is to make an early lunch ADR for the Fantasmic Pkg, then return to the resort until 2 hrs or so before Fantasmic is scheduled to go get our seats. We will have dinner at the resort maybe ? before heading over. I just know I can not deal with the crowds at DHS to spend anytime there on a Fantasmic Day since the crowds are so bad.:scared1:

Anyone know if Sundays are worse than Thursdays or vice versa?

Your ADR's look good. I plan on doing Via Napoli for lunch our first day as it stands now.

:thumbsup2

Made the mickey silhouette pops and will post pics later when i track down my cord for my camera. Had to do it a wee bit differently but everyone loved them. We had such a good time yesterday we are going to relax today and just go outside and enjoy the sun :yay:

I can't wait to see these! :goodvibes

Hello September travelers! :goodvibes

Just popping in to check the ticker before heading out to update the PreTrip. Here's a question... does anyone prefer touringplans, TGM, or Ridemax? I'm trying to decide which to try out.

None of those actually. Try easywdw.com! From what I've seen their crowd days match up with what TGM and touring plans both say. The best part is that their website is FREE!

I prefer touringplans. I like TGM, but his site can be so out of date and it sometimes takes a while to get the latest information.

So I talked to my friend who makes the buttons/pins and she said she'd make a custom design for us! The pins will be right around $3 including shipping and it's all done through Etsy. How do we want them to look?

I'm thinking something like a pink (since all of us here are girls or we can do some other color) Mickey head with DIS across the top between the ears with our screen name on the Mickey head. Other than that, I'm completely out of ideas. haha We can have it look however we want! We could even come up with a cool name for our group and put that on the pins. Suggestions needed!
