September 2011 - The Planning Continues! (2nd Thread)

I think all the parks now have cake pops. The candy store on Main St. had marble cake, red velvet or just cake pops when we were there last week. I took pics. The oreos with fudge in the middle looked yummy too! As did the carrot cake cookies!!

I will have one of everything in the case. :thumbsup2

I can't contribute what we want to do that we've never done, since this is our first family trip. My answer is EVERYTHING!:cool1:

Thanks, now I know what a cake pop is and I am salivating a little, but I think I will stick with my choc/pb from Starring Rolls.

I can't eat chocolate, but my dh is with you on the choc/pb from Starring Rolls. You are talking about the cupcakes, right? For Star Wars Weekend they decorated them with Darth Vader.

One of those vanilla cupcakes has my name on it! While you are having one of everything sweet, don't forget to stop at the Main St. Bakery for an ice cream cookie sandwich. You get to pick the cookies. I chose sugar cookie with sprinkles, dh chose chocolate chip. The CM added 2 giant scoops of icecream, then smashed them together. YUM!! Great way to cool off too since the bakery has seating and is airconditioned!!

Our list of things to try this go around....

MK- Astro Orbiter and It's a Small World (it was closed last year, so my girls haven't been on it yet)

AK- Festival of the Lion King and go to Dinoland...in 3 trips I've never gone over there! :confused3

DHS- Meet Phineas and Ferb, Pixar Pals Parade, and Fantasmic! (yep haven't made it to that one yet either! LOL)

Epcot- Kim Possible and a Grey Goose slushie in France! :drinking1

DTD- Characters in Flight balloon ride

:banana::banana::banana:

After waiting for 48 hours to hear from my TA (after mailing her about our ADR switch) and not hearing from her, I finally gave up!!

I made the ADR myself... I got Cape May at 8pm on Sept 15th!!!

Only wanted to go thru the TA since she had made all the previous ones.

Your first trip is always so magical! Everything will be a first! How fun! :thumbsup2

I think that is one of the things I love most about WDW...there are always new things to discover even if you've been many times! :goodvibes

How frustrating! I'm glad you got a reservation though!!!

I've had a similar problem with my TA...when we booked it was so far out we didn't have our info for ME...I gave it to her in March when we booked our flights, and she still hasn't added it. I could call and do it myself, but what's the point of a TA then?? :confused3

Mickey mail just arrived!

Is it time to start packing yet?
Yay! We got Mickey Mail today, too, although only for our cruise portion. Still exciting, though!!

HS - Indiana Jones Show
Lights, Camera, Action
Art of Animation
MK - Astro Orbiter
People mover
Country Bear Jamboree
AK - Rafiki's Discovery Island
We saw Lights, Camera, Action for the first time in December and I was amazed! It was so awesome.

We tried Indiana Jones once, but left shortly after it started due to a squirmy child!

People mover is so cool. Rafiki's is nice as well.

Country Bear...umm, I know people like it, but it was one of those things I hope we never do again! haha.....

One of our firsts from the last trip was the Carousel of Progress. I LOVED it! I keep watching it on You Tube to get my "good ole days" fix. :surfweb:

Oh how exciting, your first trip!! I hope you get to experience lots! I have lived in central FL since 2000. Have had annual passes since way before then, and still haven't experienced everything.

The ice cream cookie sandwich and a sweet cream cheese pretzel were things I hadn't tried until recently last week! I didn't even know about them until recently, yet they've been on the menu for ages!

I take it back...I obviously don't pay enough attention to desserts and snacks. This trip I will try at least two new desserts.those cookies look wonderful!

Glad you were able to do it yourself.

I did see Country Bear Jamboree 30 years ago in Disneyland. I can still hear "Blood on the floor." in my head. With any luck the show has been tweaked a little since then. It will be all new to the girls.

Can't believe all the yummy food porn. Great pics. :thumbsup2 I got caught up one day with the cupcake thread and ended up raiding the cupboards for something sweet. Ate 2 strawberry poptarts before I came to my senses.

I've never seen it at Disneyland, but the one at WDW hasn't changed in years.

I takes so many pics at Disney. I drive my family nuts. But they are well trained now not to take a bite until I take a picture, lol. When we pass something that's changed or out of the ordinary they'll remind me to take a picture.

Ok catching up!

basketkat: Cute Tinkerbell Costume! love it.

Souvenier's: A pin from our resort, probably a t-shirt and who knows what else....last time we came home with ears, towels, swords, a nerf ball...(don't ask) pins, a throw, mugs, a purse, picture frames, etc....so trying to lighten the load this time. :rotfl2: yeah like that's going to happen!

Things to do that we haven't done:

Magic Kingdom: Main Street Electrical Parade and MNSHHP Boo to you Parade and fireworks

Epcot: The rides in the WS: Maelstrom and the one in Mexico...can't think of the name at the moment!

Hollywood Studios: Starring Rolls cupcakes any kind! and The Voyage of the Little Mermaid, I don't know how we have missed that one the past two times considering that's my dd's favorite Disney movie!:confused3

Animal Kingdom: Rafiki's Planet Watch, Express Train area and The Festival of the Lion King!

Also we have on our agenda to visit Blizzard Beach and The Boardwalk! I tried to get to The Boardwalk last time but we just couldn't fit it in....this time it's a must! We are also going to see Hoop De Doo Revue and hope to get to stay for the Chip N Dale sing along and movie.

Shhq: Glad you got your ADR at Cape May I hope you enjoy it. We have a 1pm at Tony's on the 15th.....what are they doing there that night? Is it a MNSSHP or what? I haven't looked to see...

The Voyage of the Little Mermaid, I don't know how we have missed that one the past two times considering that's my dd's favorite Disney movie!:confused3

Good time to see it as it will be newly refurbished. I would love to see them put in the same animatronic Ursula that is in the new Disneyland attraction. She looks awesome!

Adding new Star Tours to my list. May have to do it a few times for different adventures.

And to add to my now growing list of things to do in 5 Disney jam packed days.....drink a Grey Goose Slushie. I always say I am going to get one and never do. That and I think I need a few margaritas while I am there.
:thumbsup2

ok, sounding dumb here...is the one at DHS a show or actually a ride? I thought the new one in Disneyland they were doing was a ride and the one at DHS was a show? :confused3

And how could I forget the New Star Tours!!! We have to ride it a couple of times to get different experiences!
