September 2011 - The Planning Continues! (2nd Thread)

:rotfl:

My son runs up everytime I turn on my laptop and asks to watch Disney World on the "commuter". IT's turned into a behavior modification tool for us...be good or we won't let you watch Disneyworld on the computer!

He watches the little park videos and bless his ocd little heart, he has to go through in a certain order:

Magic Kingdom,
Epcot,
Animal Kingdom
Hollywood Studios

Then we have to start over again while he calls out the names of all the characters he can see. I'm glad he's turning into a little DIsneyphile too! I am planning to take him to see all the princesses I can so I can have blackmail pictures for when he's a terrible teenager!:thumbsup2

It will be 96 today, so I am very happy to have the a/c back! Some people are still without power and they are saying it could be DAYS before everyone is up and running again. Thankfully there were NO injuries reported...not even a scratch! Truly amazing!

Thank goodness you have your AC back! With the heat index it's 97 in Chicago today, it's sooo hot! I'm glad to hear you weathered the storm OK :goodvibes

So this is the first time I have posted on any threads. We will be traveling Sept 3-10. This will be our first trip as a family. I had been to WDW as a senior class trip a long time ago. There will be hubby, me, our daughter (8) and our twin boys who will have just turned 6! We are planning on telling them next week.

Welcome! What a great age for your little ones to experience WDW for the first time! DH and I are empty nesters, butI love watching the reactions of the children when they experience the magic! Have a wonderful trip!:wizard:

How adorable! I do the same with my grandchildren when they're in town. As for the blackmail photos, I like a Mom who thinks ahead!:thumbsup2

Oh trust me, I tear up all the time when she starts talking about WDW, especially when she flips out over the commercials. She starts yelling "castle" and "Magic Kingdom" when they come on.

She came up to us at the birthday party we went to this weekend for a little boy in her preschool class and reminded us about Disney and one of her classmate's parents asked if we were planning to take her on her first trip.

Uh, yeah....first trip....that's it.

I had to fess up and tell them that due to a highly obsessed mommy, she would be going on her 4th trip in September and 5th trip in January.

:rolleyes1:rolleyes1:rolleyes1

I am glad I am not the only one dealing with that! My 2 year old has been saying, " I wanna go to Cinnnarella's Castle" for weeks! Then she proceeds to tell me she will see Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Goofy, Pluto, Daisy AND Tangoed"

HURRY UP SEPTEMBER!!!

My family will be going to WDW Sept 1-5 and staying at the Pop Century. We only booked this past Sunday and made ADR's at the same time. The plans have fallen in place pretty easy and so now we only have 86 days to wait!! Now I just need to add a new countdown ticker.

Count us in too! My daughter and I are staying at the All Star Movies 9/24-9/28. Disney and Southwest Airlines made me offers I couldn't refuse. We are attending MNSSHP on Tuesday the 27th, and spending Monday the 26th with Harry Potter.

You have to be 3 years old to do BBB...will she be 3 by the trip?

We changed our touring plans and are going to MNSSHP on the 20th....anyone else going then? Should we go ahead and purchase tickets now or wait until we check in to get them? This will be our first party!

We, too, will be at Pop Century September 3-10! Can't wait!

Welcome my girls want to do Harry Potter also. But when we go to universal we like to stay at one of there hotel for 2 nights for FOTLA. But for 2 nights it was over 1000.00. But they are still young so we are going to wait til my youngest is 5.

We aren't sure which party we are going to it will be the 17th or the 20th. Depends on the weather. We are purchasing our tickets when we get there.

Count my family of 4 in. We will be at POR Sept 21 thru 27th. Happy birthday to DD6(turning 7) and Happy 9th Anniversary to DH and I :woohoo:
And even better hopefully (fingers crossed) happy potty training for DD2 :lmao:

I can't wait! I love MNSSHP, it's the whole reason we are going and making the short trip. We were just there in May, but the park just isn't the same without the fall decorations. I don't know that we will ever go another time of year again.

We tried to book the Pop, but there was no room at the inn, so we settled for Movies. It's ok, anywhere on property is all good for us. :thumbsup2

100 days today:banana::banana::banana::banana:

I had to log onto Disney to see it!

Actually I'm kind of stressing because with MIL joining the trip if she can't get the vacation days we might need to move it up a week and to figure out a schedule and ADR's all over again might make my head explode! But that would put us at 93 days so maybe it would be worth it :thumbsup2

We're going Sept. 14-19th staying at POR!! I've been reading you guys for a while now, but just joined today.

It's 4 of us - Me, DH, DS (6) and DD (4), and a couple of friends of ours. We'll be at MNSSHP on the 16th for the first time! :cool1:
