September 2011 CANCELLED ADR Thread - Read 1st Post

Personally I think she's doing a good thing by reminding newcomers of the rules.

There are a number of people who are part of this thread who are following the rules and hoping that a particular reservation date/time & location open up so that they can book.

It's only fair that all follow the rules which state that only cancellations can be posted. Why should those who don't follow the rules be rerwarded with possibly a reservation that someone doing what is asked might also want?

I agree, I got a Chef Mickey's ADR by waiting to see if someone was cancelling. Plus, I think most people don't know and would rather be told nicely.

Oh my! I am sorry for the controversy I caused!!! Last time I posted about wanting a ressie, it worked and I got it. I could have sworn at that time, it was allowed. Had no clue the rule changed. I apologize!!! I will keep stalking away

Hang in there and keep checking! I was stalking for an earlier O'hana than I had (8:05 pm) and one FINALLY became available at 6:35 pm. I was stalking faithfully for about 3 weeks.

I am still stalking for another restaurant. I need a life.

It used to be allowed.

Those were in the days when it was possible to trade ADR's; now you can't, you can only cancel and then hope that someone picks them up.

Plus if they opened this thread up to all types of posts, you can bet that 99% of posts on here would be "Wants" and it would completely drown out any posts about cancellations.

In the meantime, please carry on stalking - I know I am (for reservations that is!)
