Sadly we had to cancel our September 2010 trip, but have decided we WILL be taking a September 2011 trip..am I crazy for already planning? Anyone else already know that is when they are going too? I normally book a bounce back, so I know at least a year in advance that we are going, but I have been plannig this 2011 trip for a couple months already :rolleyes1

Please tell me I'm not alone:cool2:

If it were me i would take a break. We had to delay our May trip until September so we have been planning for 14 months. It is too much.

Nope your not alone...we already have our Sept 2011 dates picked out....our DVC split stay rooms picked out.
(BLT MK view, AKL 1 BR Club Level)
And rough draft of what park plans might look like.

Right now just counting down till Oct to confirm our reservation.
Then begin our real countdown.

lol If you think that's crazy... I haven't even gone on my Nov/Dec 2010 trip yet, and I am already looking at prices for renting DVC with my family next year! lol

We cancelled our September trip too. Next trip will be the week after Thanksgiving of 2011!! Good luck with your planning. You are not alone. :thumbsup2

We also have dates, resort (AKL:woohoo: although, if money issue arise, I will toss that like yesterday's trash:rotfl:) and most adrs picked out. and I know what special things I want...having to cancel this Septembers trip KILLED me, s I need something to lift my spirits! Glad i'm not alone!

I want to go Oct 2011, around Columbus day. The kids will have 1.5 days off school so we will probably plan a 5 or 6 night trip with the kids only missing 1.5-2.5 days of school. Good weather, Food and Wine, and I think we will spring for MNSSHP!

Now if I can only convince DH to do a split stay between our two favorites, WL and YC, we should be all set...

I think I always have the next trip planned..since I plan on returning every year... hope my family goes for it lol

 for you having to cancel. it was the pits! Bets of luck with your planning as well!

Ha that's nothing, at lunch yesterday DH and I planned our trips up to 2012., 3 trips and then whenver FL Forest Expansion is mostly complete trip 4. We had to cancel September this year (going to be my first I've had to miss) but its tentatively back on so I'm holding out hope we can make it. I say by all means keep on planning it will help keep the Disney blues at bay.

I'll assume it will be free dining and we've gone to WDW the last 4 years in a row so we've already hit our must do places, and since we're doing Club level for half the trip we plan on going very light on ADR's
Boma is the only must.
Other meals the first half of the trip will be MK/ECPOT locations to stay close since our resort is so close.

So yes I have thought about it even though it's still more than a year away.

Wait its not normal to know that a year out? Since when! :confused3 DH does get a little spiffed from time to time when we sit down for dinner at home and I say hey when we go to Disney next time I'm getting X at X restraunt. :rolleyes1 Hey them menus are online what can I say I drool over them often.

Not crazy at all.

I'm looking at adding a short Feb. 2011 trip and trying to find out if DH is gone over Memorial Weekend 2012 (we'll know in about a month). If he is, the kids and I are hitting WDW so I'm going to be planning for 2012 too. :woohoo:

Oh PUH-LEEEEZE OP, you have GOT to be kidding me??? Remember who you are talking to here.... :rotfl2:

There is no such thing as planning too early! I've been planning our 2011 trip since 2009 (ok, towards the end of 2009, but still....). My plans keep changing, but for me, it's all about having that to look forward to. I just posted on the Feb. 2011 thread today that by the time we go, I will know exactly what we are wearing each day and every morsel of food we will eat! :lmao:

For some it is overkill, but for me, it gets me through the tough days at work, and at home (we all have them don't we??)

Have fun and plan away!!! :thumbsup2

It really does help keep the blues away. I'm sure once September hits I will be even more bummed...so I need this!

I ike the way you think! I don't fly... if I did..fuggetaboutit! I'd have a million "short" trips planned:lmao:

I've already started putting money away for disney attire!!

exactly. it gets me right through those days. and helps me focus on something! I know something is wrong wit me if I can't even focus on disney lol

A break from planning to prevent getting burned out. Maybe it is just me but I quit checking everything except the budget boards on here for a couple of months and as time started drawing nearer, i started checking things again and my excitement was renewed. Putting my mind on something else made the time go a lot faster as well. I find it is better to not over-plan every detail anyway and just go with the flow. Again, that is just me.

Lets see-- I been planning this trip since 2005 when grand daughter was first born.
I have already booked a cruise in February 2011 AND February 2012.
I am going to Aruba in Sept 2011 and 2012 and back to Disney in Dec 2013.

Too Early??? NEVER

While I agree that sometimes you do get distracted by life and have to take a time out from your Disney obsession (we had travel fastpitch softball this summer) it's sooooo much fun when you get back into it. We went as a family for the first time last spring break (2009) and are going this coming Nov. Hubby said we aren't going for a while after that (we have a beach vacation planned next summer) but I hold out hope that we'll go again in 2012 (niece's band is playing in Magic Kingdom during spring break).....so really????? a 16-18 month gap is doable! :-) Thank goodness for places like disboards to keep me connected!:thumbsup2

I just got back and I am already planning for my next trip! I just love Disney World!!! It really is an addiction....and I love it!

Not too early! For me, planning is half the fun. I've been planning our Nov. 2011 trip for about a month now, and I look forward to a little planning each evening. It's my little treat.

I don't like planning much in general, but vacations are an exception, especially at WDW.

could not agree more. I was planning my next trip to disney on my way to disney. We are going again in Jan 2013 for my 40th birthday. Planning the trip, for me, is almost as much fun as being there. But not quite!
