September 2008 2008 ADR Wanted/Trade/Exchange/Cancelled

It always makes me nervous to pretend to be someone else, so I just call dining reservations and tell them I was planning on attending with my sister and now I'm thinking of having my mom go with my sister so I'd like to change the reservation to her name. Then, I change the name on the reservation to my own. That way you don't have to worry. Never had a problem doing this.

THANK YOU SO MUCH!!! I feel the same way. I will do this instead. I was a little worried how this would work. Thanks again.

Hello all...

This is actually Em O and So's dad...so forgive any nonadherances to protocol.

We have a split lunch for 7, Thursday, Sept 18th 12:25 for 4 and 12:30 for 3 at LeCellier but would prefer to trade that lunch for Princess Storybook Dining - Breakfast on the same day. Willing to take the breakfast at anytime that morning.

I thought that you needed your ID? So I just give my name, and ADR#, and thats it? We will be fine, no problems.

We have always only been asked our name and ressie time, never have they asked for my ressie # except once when they couldn't find us in the system. Last year I was three different Diser's on my trip never had a problem, just had to have the right name at the right place

hey - done this a few times. If I'm switching my reservation over to a DISer, I just get the name of the DISer, their Reservation number(a phone number would work too I suppose, I've just always used reservation number), and ages of children undre 17. Once I switch this information over, I PM them with the confirmation number and then have them call and update the additional information. (like arrival dates/where they're staying etc. because it's all my info)
The reason you need to switch the name and reservation number is because if you want to book a different meal at that time(Lunch, dinner etc,) and they see you have 2 ressies in your name for the same meal, they could cancel it.

Hope this helps! I've never had a problem, and when they ask why, I tell them the truth. I'm not going to use it but have a friend who will.

Yes they will seat you.. this happen to us when our teenagers wanted to ditch us.. no big deal. We even added a person once and they never said a word
