Yes!!! I may not be blessed with family ( did I tell you my own grandfather ran after me when I was about 5 or 6 with a knife??? ) but I am in abundance of great friends around me and I thank God for that.

Might I suggest that you do not cut off contact with your family but simply limit it? I refuse to lower myself down the level of others as it just reinforces their bad behavior but I do limit how much time and effort I expend on some. I love all my siblings dearly but am not so sure I would have any contact with them if it were not for the fact that we came from the same womb. Love is a gift and thankfully folks do not need to do anything to deserve it. Otherwise this would be a very sad world.

Well, my niece and nephew I still chit chat with them. But the sister and the cousin they dont even look my way. Which really fine.

Ants, If you need to talk I am here. I feel your pain and know that you are not alone in how you are feeling. The most important thing that I am so happy to hear is that you are going to be ok after the surgery. That is so awsome.

those are a few of the past that had kept me strong and always reminds myself that not even your own blood will hesitate ending your life. I am a product of 2 different religion and my grandfather had never accepted me as the daughter of my dad

Hello All

I know I havent posted in a LONG time but things have been hectic around here. My SIL has had a horrible pregnancy so I have been back and forth with family. I posted a while back that I was going to be an aunt in March well... she had the baby on Friday by emergency C Section. The baby weighs 1LB 15 oz. She breathing on her own with no oxygen I think the nurse said it best she is a miracle baby. She will be in the hospital til at least March. I can't wait till I can take her to Disney

On a lighter note I hope everyone has a great holiday and a happy new year!!!!!!!

Ants, I never understood all the unrest religion causes. Hey you were an innocent child it's not like you could chose who your parents were and what religion they would be or how your gparents would react to it. Just remember that his choice to judge also caused his loss in the love you could have given him. From what I know of you from meeting you at the TOT meet and all the joy you bring to others on the DIS with your wonderful sense of humor and warmth it was a huge loss for him. You take care over the holidays. Talk with you soon.

Crzykid, I am sad to hear about your SIL's early childbirth but it is awsome that she is doing so well. If it helps any I know a boy who was exactly 1lb at birth and he is now 19 and in perfect health physically and mentally. What a wonderful Christmas miracle that she is breathing on her own when most babies born that soon don't have the lung development to do that.

crzykid, I just know that beautiful baby is laying there and dreaming of a trip to DW too. Make sure to take loads of pictures when the first trip happens. We will all share your joy.

Pooh, your poor dear. My father and my son both had such headaches and even if I managed to escape them myself I saw how much they suffered. I think there are shots you can take now if you feel one coming on. I have read about them at any rate. I hope you are feeling better so that you can enjoy all the festivities you have prepared.

ANTSS2001, my grandmother took a broom to my father once to keep him from beating me. There is the time he pointed a gun at me and threatened to kill me. Want to swap horror stories? I hope I win, for your sake. The best revenge to is to build a happy and successful life for yourself and leave all that 'stuff' behind. Let them wallow if they must. I understand why you are so overwhelmingly kind and thoughtful. It is often a side effect of being an abused child to keep trying to make folks love us. Please spend your love on those who will return the favor and forgive and move on from the rest. You are far too young and should not waste the time you have left.

angwill, I am not sure what happened with the cell phone. I had to get a new one shortly before we left and I will admit to not knowing how to use one well since I use it so seldom. I do not think I set up a message box but I got other calls and such including a list of who called when I did not get the call. I am going to buy a new hearing aid this year, budget be darned, and see if that helps any. When I get sickly I sweat so much that I have shorted out my old one long ago. It was not just Tom pushing people off the bench they were already on but his shouting at them to move that got to me. You would have been proud of me cause at the AK parade a lady kept pushing on me and instead of moving, as I usually would, I stood my hefty ground. You use what you have. If there had been more room for me to move over I would have gladly,and especially if she had asked.

I am thinking about sending my son and family an email to wish them a Merry Christmas but am afraid that it would cause problems and do not want to especially tonight which has always been our family celebration night. I think I will wait until the 26th and then prepare for either total silence or an explosion. Families, gotta love them, although I am not sure why sometimes. They will be in my heart even if they are not in my home.

I guess one thing I learned all through the years is that if they dont want me I cant do anything about it but I will never close my doors in searching for happiness be with by myself or with friends I fins along the way of my journey! And thank God for the Mouse and the Dis for I have found such joy and happiness and it doesn't stop here my circle of friends just keep getting bigger

Hmmm we should really do this one night when we go to WDW!!! Where's the best place to exchange stories but the Mouses garden! I am just glad that my mom had taught me to be strong and never be affected by the people outside my 1st of keen (well there's really 3 of us... the rest are my adopted brothers and sisters), never be dependent to anybody and always be thankful that you woke up and saw sunrise that morning. And as I aged I learned that Yes! the grass is greener next door... but then can you imagine how much is their water bill ??? So Yup I will keep my grass in the pot where I can water it everyday and maybe one day plant it in my yard!

Well Peeps I bet all of you are down on your knees with all chores, flour on your face baking and maybe have not even comb their hair since this morning. May this chaotic time bring joy and peace in all your home with all your love ones!

Timmie, take it from one who is older than you. The last thing you want to do in life is sit around and think about all the wrongs folks have done to you. It is a waste of time cause I guarantee you they are not wasting any of their time feeling bad about it and if confronted they will deny, deny and try to convince you that YOU are loony. It is best to let go and get on .

I love the 'grass is greener' and 'water bill' thing. I have never heard that and I thought I had heard most everything under the sun.

It is very true that what looks perfect from across the street might not look so very good close up and personal.

Gotta play the cards as they are dealt but it sure do help to vent a bit, in a safe place, with folks who will support us.

Hugs to everyone. I am off to put some quiches in the oven for my gourmet grandson. He enjoys Baked Alaska too but we are having pumpkin pie for my not so gourmet other grandson. I am going to eat a piece too, calories be darned!!!

me neither I actually got 3 dvd's(I had already ordered) and a cd of garth brooks(which wanted) a sweatshirt which was the wrong one so now I have to take it back and exchange it but I bought him a new camera, tripod, clothes Lots of them new razor,trimmer etc.

His mom I asked for a wind breaker from the Indians and got this thin sweatshirt (black and grey)

Yeah we did, I'm wiped out though......I had a very busy weekend, HM concert on Friday, then a party at our house on Sat, bowling on Sunday and more friends came over Monday, then Christmas was at my house yesterday! I need the weekend to come quickly, so I can have some time to recover!
